Did you solve you problem with missed coins? I keep all my coins at exchange and after your post i'm afraid of transfer them to my wallet.

If hypothetical, I've never had problems with Binance. Transferring funds from there usually works fine, sometimes its been congested and withdrawal takes a day or so.

So use Binance if you can get an account ( if you are US citizen I think they have restrictions)

PS. As always - NEVER use exchanges to store any coins long term, thats what wallets are for

Can you specify your question please? I do not really understand what you mean.
Do you mean where the data of the wallet is stored on your local machine? If so, you should provide your operating system. Wallet data is stored in different locations depending on you're using Windows, Mac or Linux.

Yes. 2018 many things will go forward with IOTA. Just consider the genreal update from Dom a few days ago. I also don´t like the current wallet very much, but it is safe as long as you don´t use any online seed generator. New Trinity wallet is also in progress (currently in alpha testing). After the recent, huge "IOTA stolen"-online-seed-FUD-panic-shit I can understand if it takers longer to deliver a 101% secure and user-friendly wallet.

I only can recommend everyone to watch the weekly Tangleblog videos at Youtube to stay up-to-date. The IOTA start wasn´t very smooth and each wrong fart was punished with huge FUD-campaigns. But look at all of these qualified personalities and developers, as well as collaborations with Global Players. Does anyone really believe they all would invest such a plenty of work, engagement, manpower and money into IOTA if it would be a sh*tcoin? Just put one and one together.
