Some people are not still over on Westbrook's new role in his new team, people are still so used to see him handling the ball most of the time and carry the team to make a win. Same reason why he have more critics these days because there's a very high standard that the people made and expected Westbrook to achieve it even if he's not the alpha on the team anymore. They can't accept the fact that he is now a supporting player because LBJ is there as the alpha.

He should just do what he should do because these people are not the ones who will re-sign him if everything goes to the opposite direction. This is his last chance to re-sign because there's no guarantee that there will be some teams in the league who will sign him up if he is already in the free agency.

I am impressed with Zion Williams in this game. He has shown no rust in his game even though he missed almost a year of NBA. They have an impressive start, and we may expect more from them. It is too early to tell how far they go in the season because it is just the first game, but I like what they are showing. Keep this up, try to avoid injuries and we may see them again in the playoffs. Hopefully farther than a first-round exit. I am curious how far a healthy Zion can carry the Pelicans. Can he carry them to a conference final? Hopefully we see it this year.


Give Ben Simmons time, he had not played for almost two years, I think. He is very rusty and needs to retrain his muscles into basketball again. Like Jordan when he retired and play baseball, he needs to retrain his body because basketball uses different sets of muscles than baseball. The same case with Simmons, his muscles are still trained to play Call of Duty and need time to get it back to a basketball body again.

Kyrie is still good. He is very athletic and skillful. I do think that if he gets proper coaching, he can be great again. And with Durant on their team, they can be a championship contender. It is his last year in his contract, if he doesn't show that he is still the Kyrie that we used to know, then he may not get another contract next year. So I think he will be a good boy this year and obey his coaches.

The game of the night is Los Angeles Lakers VS Los Angeles Clippers. I think a very enjoyable match is waiting for us. I'm not going to sleep tonight to watch this game.

Yes, only 2 games and this is what I'm interested to watch, Clippers vs Lakers.

The Clippers have upgraded their roster with the acquisition of John Wall, I think Wall can still contribute and maybe we can see some sign of his play during his prime. And then Kawhi, who wouldn't miss this guy? He was at his peaked in Toronto, bringing them the ring, unfortunately his Clippers stint wasn't that good and then he missed the entire season last year. So for sure Clipper fans is very excited to see him back again. And yes, I do have a bet on Clippers to win by a handicap against the Lakers which might not play Lebron.

Let us not forget about McCollum to complete their own "big three". They are looking like a team that can bring down anyone and my bold prediction may come true if these guys stay healthy most of the regular season and in the playoffs. They probably just need some reliable back up who could lead the second unit when given the chance.

That's why I said in my previous post that the Pelicans are the "dark horse" right now in the NBA.
They are the team to watch with as they are packed with talented and efficient players.

A big three of Zion, Ingram and a veteran McCollum, a legit big in Valanciunas and Hayes as their 2nd option, a defensive player like Jones and very good bench players. Just by looking how they played against the Nets on their first game is already a sign that we might see them performing even better than the previous season. If they will not get injured, they might end up in the top 4 of the West. Might be too high but that's my expectations with them.

This is also a step to make him more confident moving forward into the future. Because he knows that if he performs well he will not be taken back. I really like that approach from the coach. This will also encourage players to be more effective.


I really don't know if this might be too early. It would be prudent to wait to see if Lee can produce this type of performance on a regular basis. At the same time, I can also understand if the coach wishes to reward him for his outstanding performance by making him a starter.

I want Miami Heat to win but I didn't follow my earlier plan to bet on them. Chicago Bulls upgraded their line-up this season with Andre Drummond and Goran Dragic while Miami Heat lost P.J. Tucker. And I also expect Nikola Vucevic to bounce back strong this season after his numbers dropped down last season. It will be exciting how Chicago fares this season. Last season they were someone strong but they failed to win most of the time against the top teams. Now they have 2 new veterans and Dragic is very experienced in playoff games which is the most important of all games. 

You describe it well. They did try, but ain't enough to make a win to impress their home court crowd.

It was a good defense, but it needed a combo of good offense to win a game, sad to say that even AD try hard but
his teammate is not on the same page.

Keep throwing the ball with a lesser chance of making a basket. LeBron and AD alone can't do it for the lakers, they
needed more help from other players, maybe that 2 consecutive loss will let them to adjust and create more working
system to win a game.

They don't have shooters, that's the problem. I believe Darvin Ham knows this that's why he is just forcing every play to be an attack in the paint.
Sure, Lebron can shoot and so does Austin Reaves but they are limited with that.
Their defense though is quite impressive, Russ deflects 2 posts up of Kawhi and he even caught one for a steal and then a clever timeout. 
This is a game where Kawhi only played limited minutes, what more if he plays the entire game? It could've been a blowout.

The Bucks on the other hand squeezed a W against the 76ers without Middleton. Matthews is their hero making that 3. Embiid is frustrated with 2 losses.
