Pretty sure the selling of the house already says the news. The Lakers are moving on and Westbrook will be on another team when the season begins. I'm sure whomever is thinking about taking him will be looking to utilize him as a bench player.

Dennis Schroder might be in regret now his decision before when the Lakers offered him $84 million over four years and now accepting a one-year contract worth $2.64 million. That's what happened when a player is truly believed in himself. He thinks that $84 million for 4 years is not worth his performance. that's why he rejected the offer. There's even no team that likes to spend money on him on that contract price but only the Lakers.

With his current status, I don't see him getting a chance in the future to get a decent contract again. Arrogant player.

Nothing that he can do now, maybe if he will play his best and Lakers management sees him deserves an additional year.

Maybe, just maybe, on his next offer, they can give him something better than this one-year deal. For the Lakers bring him back
there might be a chance on him to make on his previous mistake, if he will deliver what the team needed from him, for sure
lakers will negotiate and give him another good deal, but yeah, $84M was already gone with the wind.

Pretty much I think that the Lakers is not needing a 2nd super scorer at the moment and because Russell Westbrook is not performing well, he surely will be the eye for the blame in not getting near any championship, and right now the Laker have signed a young 29 years old guard Dennis Schröder, he is now back on the Lakers I think the Lakers have done this because they really needed players on defense and for this, I think Russell Westbrook really needs to think twice and because he is stubborn it is better to just quit his basketball career, 


Yup! I know we can not put all the blame on Russell Westbrook and the other players that are worst performing than him, but we can not compare Russell Westbrook to the young new players of the Lakers because Westbrook has landed on the Lakers despite his age because they surely hoping for Westbrook to perform well and they are expecting great things to happen because he is a superstar and Russell Westbrook not performing well because he is not in his prime anymore given the fact that they are paying him so much but he can not deliver on that amount that he is getting, for me the blame will surely all goes to him,

I don't know what's on Dennis Schroder's mind now. It's hard to sleep when he will always remember that good contract before by the Lakers that he rejected because he thinks there are other teams that will offer him more than that. He thinks that because he has good stats he will be noticed by other teams.

With his current contract, that was almost the same contract for a retiring player when in fact, he is just 29 years old and still young.

Greed is really sometimes not good.

He learn his mistakes, can't bring back the time, at least he still have  one year to stay and make a living in the NBA. He is still very young, and maybe after this season and when his contract expires with the Lakers, there will be another team that is going to get his services as a PG.

And to be fair, when he is with the Lakers, he had a good stint with them that's why he was offered a good salary that unfortunately, he turn it down.

Or Maybe he still has a chance to prove his worth again, who knows, the Lakers might offer him again the same amount that he decline before. He is still young IMO, still has a lot to offer, and based on his performance when he was still a Lakers, I think he would fit the team.

One year is enough for him to prove himself, make a good contribution and maybe help the Lakers reach the NBA finals again, I think he will get the reward he deserves.

That's the only way to rise again. After rejecting the Lakers' $84 Million Contract, Dennis Schroder was signed by the Boston Celtics and Houston Rockets but unfortunately, he wasn't able to make a buzz at these teams that's why he ended up in a low contract.

There's no even team that shows interest in signing him and he should be thankful that even if he leaves the Lakers, the team still signed him. He just needs to show what he got. Even if Schroder comes back as a Lakers with a new coach and new teammates, he shouldn't be able to struggle in building chemistry with his teammates.

I'd choose another agent if I were him.
He is called a veteran in every article that I read. Schroder is just 29 years old. 

Why would they accept this kind of contract while Eurobasket is not even over yet and they will be trying for the Bronze medal?
If they win it, there's a chance his value could increase more and his agent didn't even wait for that moment. I think they just waited if they could win against Spain and if they do they will try to increase his value. That's some stupid decision.
Obviously, the Lakers do want him because he is a good player but I am sad they accepted a cheap price.

That's something, look at Durant and the Nets, they paid him something like 100 million dollars so far and the best they got out of him was a first round exit, so at least Lakers are getting some cheaper fails than Nets lol. Sometimes teams do not fit good for each other and sometimes injuries do create a problem.

Westbrook was just too used to playing a certain style of basketball and when asked to play something else he failed, which is understandable because you do not ask a 30+ year old to change his style that quickly, dude has been shooting threes and midranges like candy because he can't drive too much inside, and of course that was a problem, everyone could see it a mile away.
