McAfee pumping Burst is sad, it doesn't do the reputation of this coin any good to have shonky stuff like this going on, a good coin doesn't need the likes of Bob Surplus or John McAfee pumping them for short term profit. When all the noobs get burnt what will they think of Burst then?

I read the white paper - still superficially - and it looks definitively interesting. It's a second layer proposal which takes ideas from Lightning, anonymous transactions, and DAGs. Also an update of the PoC algorithm is proposed. However, I'm still not completely understanding the sense of the DAG. Are Lightning Networks not "DAGs" by themselves?

If this becomes true and works as expected, then Burst could become well a direct Bitcoin competitor.

What would be interesting is if there have been already steps for an implementation (if there's already code).
