    Hi community members!

    Last year, there were many discussions surrounding Libra and we published our take on the project too. Much of our reservations were surrounding its lack of decentralisation and its privacy challenges, and while we wouldn’t write off the potential of Libra, financial inclusion does not seem likely at this point. However, the impact of Libra - putting it on the radar of financial institutions and regulators is definitely positive for blockchain in general.

    The recent DeFi ‘hack’ carried out by anonymous perpetrators using flash loans to net up to 1 million in the value of ETH traded on-exchange has been much discussed and speculated across the blockchain community.
    While we don’t believe this marks the downfall of DeFi, the incident has definitely pointed out a few flaws of DeFi; and how those of us working on developing this space has to pay closer attention to.
