The project looks very interested but I have one question.
The user is awarded 100 WiC per correct password uploaded in order to grow the network initially... Anybody who wants to connect to these networks will have to pay this amount and it will be credited to the original password uploader.
How do you plan to prevent abusing public Wi-Fi spots (coffee shop, restaurant, airports etc). There are a lot of spots operated by people not involved in WiC project and without any knowledge about cryptocurrency.
One smart guy could visit such spots, submit their passwords into WiC database and earn their money.
Is there any limits for number of passwords one person allowed to submit to WiC application?
Hey,
Thanks for your question. So firstly, most of the cafes, restaurants etc. that have WiFI for their customers only keep the WiFi open and ask their customers to log in via a web portal and our app won't support this. But yes, the way the app is designed anybody having the password of any network can upload it and earn WiC. But to be on the correct side, we will have a point in our app's terms and conditions that when you upload any password you confirm that you are the owner of that WiFi or have express permission from the owner to upload it. Also, no there is no limit on the number of passwords a user can upload.
