I really like the design of the web site. My comments here will only be related to the text and the choice of a "one page" format.

I realize that the text is not finished, nevertheless, I feel that there is not enough information on the one-page format to describe what anoncoin is, how it is different from other coins, and why a casual internet user should download the client after reading the page. I totally agree that we should keep the tech talk down to a minimum, but I feel that it might be a good idea to have a link to a second page that describes what the coin is all about. I personally would have created a second page that copies this text from the actual web site: https://anoncoin.net/index.php/the-coin In particular, I think that we need to address the question: Why does anonymity matter? And What is Zerocoin? I don't think that the text as written is too tech oriented (but I could be wrong...).

Second, I think that it would be very useful to have a third page that describes how to download the client, how to set it up, and to give some real basic security advice (such as encrypting the wallet and using I2P). I worry that if we burry this in the wiki (which is heavy on text) that the average user will have a hard time finding this (or simply will chose not to look). In general, the average user will probably not read the wiki, so all information should be in the graphical web site.

Finally, I think that the main web page should probably include a list of the developers, along with their expertise. This is useful so that the casual user will realize that there is a team of developers, and not just one person. This could probably be appended to one of the three pages.

In the end, I feel that a 3-page web site should be sufficient to address my concerns. With the given format, it should be trivial to add such pages, if that is what the consensus turns out to be. Of course, this is just my opinion...

I like the two pronged approach:

A straight-forward easily understood front for the casual user, and an in-depth tech heavy
explanation for the user more interested in the details.

Also, I agree that everybody needs a primer on why privacy is important, not just from the
prying eyes of the civil servant, but also as protection from the criminal, and in-laws.

Now, I think there is also merit in the video idea for those who prefer getting info and instruction
that way.

The three page approach ought to work, with video either up front or on another page.

What about an android compatible ANC wallet?  Has that been done yet?

Now, as far as mining goes, I haven't had much trouble with that, although I'm small scale.
It wouldn't be hard to explain in writing how I did it so that someone else could pull it off
with gpu or a gridseed unit, and the mining software I use.

Sidenote/news;

I, as you, are tired of people exploits Gnosis's energy at dayjob resulting in slow progress. So I and him has talked a while and I will start the ZC integration on the points where I can help him, under his overview so I do it correctly according to his plans who has used most time on this case. Hopefully we can have a testnet soon. But this(first testnet version) won't be "trustless" since the RSA UFO generation is an ongoing progress and this would be a a first run test. Kind of like a PoC code.

Actually I like it. As you say, plain html/css. (Which makes it great for the darknet guests who hate JS). + It gives impression about more like "old hacker" 80's theme or what I should say, hard to define it right now. But I think it's nice.

n00n , I will send you the design with little changes. But we are moving in the right direction. We will only have one html file for anoncoin.net and rest articles will go to wiki.

For info, the last wikipedia deletion had nothing to do with the quality of the article. It was deleted on the grounds that Anoncoin is not notable.  In particular, all facts need to be referenced by respectable sources: github, BCT, the anoncoin web site, twitter, and several of the crappy cryptocoin web sites don't count. The first version of the article was poorly written and not notable. The second version (which I wrote) was a speedy deletion, meaning that there was almost no deliberation as the article had been already deleted once before.

The trick will be referencing these in the main text (as opposed to just listing them as reading material at the end of the article).
