Masternode could be a good idea, but it's not on the roadmap, so I don't think it would cause any dump.

I would love to see masternodes on DeepOnion as well. I am sure someone will bring it up once Votecentral is released.

Not only will that happen but at the last Q n A it was discussed by themonkii and I believe the overall view was some people wanted it and some didn't but that is okay because we are going to have VC. That will solve the problem completely because the community will decide if masternodes or not, which is something that is so fucking cool about cryptos. God damn love the decentralized community aspect, fwiw I am in favor of masternodes but the other way is fine as well.

Hmm why we need master node? I heard that master nodes are semi centralized, isn't that better to have a complete decentralized pos system?

I'm a novice at all of this, and don't know much, but I have heard similar arguments, as well as masternodes increasing security risk!

If this claim is true, then DeepOnion should avoid maternodes.

Could be. We have also seen a sharp pullback after a nice bounce a couple times in the past couple weeks. This bounce has a bit more umph to it though.

Onion price spiked to $5 and dropped 90% to $0.5 then bounced 40x to $20.
This time from $20, it dropped almost 90% again to $2.XX. Hopefully it will go 40x again and reach $80 soon. Grin

how masternodes increasing security risk? as far as I know DASH masternodes are really expensive but they exist and I never heard that it was causing some security risks..
but I might be wrong, of course
but as Deeper said, once VoteCentral is ready, community will decide what to do next..
