It can be Ethereum, or Bitcoin money or other successful coins that will manifest itself in the future. Bitcoin may be the one that put blockchain into the spotlight but it doesn't mean that it is dependent on it because now blockchain transactions are now done in the internet so it may survive without bitcoin but will not without the internet and there are other coins that also have a ton of potentials that can overthrow bitcoin so the probability is high.
