Magic in AR: witchcraft and wizardry are now available for muggles! ⚡

Pokemon Go developers showed the gameplay of a new Harry Potter based mobile game. American studio Niantic will release Harry Potter: Wizards Unite before the end of 2019.

Players will join the special squad of the Ministry of Magic to fight the dark wizards. They also will have to investigate the mystery behind sorcerous portals through which magical creatures enter the real world. Well-known characters of the books will appear in the game as well — for example, Hagrid and Ron Weasley.

The mechanics of the game are similar to those of Pokemon Go — players will have to walk in real world investigating points marked with magic. Death Eaters and magical creatures — Dementors or Boggarts — can wait there in augmented reality. They can be fought with different spells known from the books.

The game already has a website that introduces the narrative.

The first stage of the All-Russian 3D modeling competition “Co3Datel” is over! Schoolchildren and students have successfully uploaded their projects and are now waiting for the decision of an expert jury.

We received a large number of remarkable creative works — from a screaming cow and a spaceship to a tank field and clothing for the visually impaired people. Now, we are uploading the works to our ARROUND augmented reality platform.

When the works are available in augmented reality, participants will start recording videos with their own 3D models. Like and repost them, as we will pay extra attention to the most popular videos!

On April 13, at the Exhibition of Economic Achievements in Moscow, the final stage of the competition will be held. Schoolchildren and students will defend presentations of their their projects. At the end of the two stages, the winners and prize winners will receive valuable prizes, the main of which is a trip to Tokyo. Contestants who have demonstrated particularly creative approach to their work will have the opportunity to change their lives by completing an internship at the Soyuzmultfilm studio and ARROUND augmented reality platform!

Today schoolchildren and students are really exited about 3D-modeling. Some of them are planning  to get themselves into this after graduation. However, the majority simply has no opportunity to independently approach designing or creation of something new - all this activity is concentrated somewhere far in time and space: in “adult” life, within the walls of design studios and technology companies.
 It’s extremely difficult to choose the right direction of your future work or studying if you don’t try yourself in one of them in advance. Therefore, we decided to give an opportunity to all schoolchildren and students of Russia to become true creators in real life!
On April 5, the second stage of the "SOZDATEL" competition began, in which many young talents took part, you can see their work by downloading the ARROUND app! Find them on the map VDNH, near the Smart City pavilion.
