Yea that's right Bitcoin can kill people if they use bitcoin in wrong way. That's same if we play hand phone while driving that's will be danger for us and that's can make get accident, that's same with bitcoin. Then how about if we are use bitcoin for investment and use it in good way? We can earn the profit from there. Technology more sophisticated, so don't set the technology as the king to be you are not killed by the technology

People dont die because of bitcoin, they die because of the terrorists or drug dealers that are killing them because the police or army cant stop them. Bitcoin may be just a way to hide their money and transactions but do you think that if bitcoin disappears no more people are going to get killed? No, because terrorists are still going to do their job and they are going to find a way to buy guns. Same with drug dealers, do you think they are going to stop selling if bitcoin would disappear? Of course no because they can also make and hide their money in other ways.

I dont think there really is a big problem with bitcoin and terrorists or drug dealers probably only for the big guys who make serious business of millions of dollars(because I dont think a small drug dealer would waste his time selling drugs for 50$ with bitcoin) but even they have to exchange their bitcoins into cash so that the transaction will appear on the bank records.

Bill Gates was right. It could be used to support terrorism and other things that's illegal. It doesn't actually kill people, people kill people. Even with how much money you have if you don't use it for something bad then it does not become evil. But when a person used it, then it is the most evil thing that kills people. But because bitcoins are easily transferred unlike the real currency, it would be easy to use these coins as what Gates stated. For this reason many feared its usage could end up bad and into the wrong hands.

95% of illegal transactions are made with fiat, not cryptocurrencies. No one is using crypto to buy drugs and other illegal stuff except maybe Monero or other privacy coins.

I think he has a specific reason to comment on that. I think that bitcoin and cryptcurrency have their advantages and the fairness of transparency may be the opportunity for terrorist organizations to use crypto as a powerful tool to carry out murder. That may be one of the reasons the government does not accept the legality of bitcoin and crypto.

you know i did hear that before many time, (that terrorism uses bitcoin to get food and equipment) by gates and other well-knowns people in my country but it always occurs to me they always say such things without any proof iam not saying that crypto doesn't  have some illegal user.  it has but i don't think its that easy for terrorists to use it and i dont think  the terrorism will stop if we stop using crypto they will sure find another  way
so, in general, they wanna find any way to stop cryptocurrencies because they are afraid of it.  not talking about gates  because gates also said alot of good things about bitcoin in a lot of meetings before his company even uses bitcoin.iam talking about the people who fails to catch terrorists so they blame it on anything else

Bill Gates himself is a crypto fanatic. In fact, he has a huge investments in it. Maybe that is just his opinion about the negative side of Bitcoin. Everything in this world has pros and cons. We cannot removed that fact. On the positive side, Bitcoin is giving life to other people because it is opening lots of opportunities for growth not only financially, but also socially and individually.

I do not know if Bill Gates actually said it because the link did not have any articles but yes it is true that cryptocurrency kills people but if you are going to use that logic, basically everything kills people.

Food kills people specially in poor community.
Oil/diamonds/ precious metals - just check our world history billions have died because of those resources.
Obviously Fiat as everyday there are crimes reported about it.
