    Thanks for the useful tip about the ppa repository settings.  I had the same problem and applying this allowed me to install bfgminer on Ubuntu 13.10 (amd64).  It is running bfgminer 3.0.99 now with the BF device, reaching about 2.26 GH/sec as on the Win7 machine.  We may be entitled to some compensation, as it is becoming clear that the BlueFury cannot attain the originally specified hash rate.

    If this were true, why would Beastlymac stating 2.7GH/s on his own system, of course, I'm assuming he would use the same firmware (and I can't see he any reason why he wouldn't nor do I doubt he didn't use the same firmware to flash the chips).

    Furthermore, I've seen one sit at 2.659GH/s - 2.8xxGH/s for about an hour, granted one out of eight and after I restarted the miner to add some api parameters for BFGMiner, I haven't seen anything that high yet again.

    Yes all devices are flashed with the newest firmware. You can tell because the led will flash from yellow to orange. That shows it is working. The devices I have and the devices all the developers have are all the same as the production ones.

    Here is a photo of the test units running. Granted the time it has been running isn't very long.

    And I am consistently getting 2.5-2.9ghs

    I meant to try Eligius earlier, I haven't used it in a few weeks now... but I have made most of my btc there... anyhow..

    Switched the pool, I see 4 at 2.6GH/s to 3GH/s, going to going to give it a little while, but I am seeing much better numbers off the bat with Eligius (still have yet to see a HW error!).

    Tried Eligius as well, for almost 7 minutes, the hash rate was as on the previous pools that I tried (Slush and BTC)

    Thanks for the pointers everyone,  I switched computers from Windows 8.0 to a Windows 7 machined and am now able to get my Blue Fury recognized by the cleaned up version of Bfgminer 3.2.0.

    However after 60 minutes of hashing the BF is only averaging 2.16 Gh/s  (Eligius pool).

    After some work with ckolivas, got cgminer working with my blue furies.
    The manufacture string is BFMG instead of BPMC on the blue vs red, so next release is likely going to ignore that when attempting to use BF1 devices.
    However, speed on my sticks hasn't been too great.

    Will try resetting stick 15062915 once again I suppose.

    Odd.  Have you tried isolating that suspect card/unit such that you try mining with it and only it?  Since 4-port unpowered hubs are common, I have to ask...  Are you using a powered hub?

    After 60 minutes I restarted Bfgminer 3.2.0. on my Windows 7.0 desktop, the BF is plugged directly into one of the front USB ports and has a fan blow on the heatsink.

    About 3.5 hours into this run and the hashing rate has dropped to 2.25/2.26/2.02 Gh/s (Eligius pool).

    I believe the 3rd number is the running average??

    Use Ubuntu 13.10... best idea I got for you, since I couldn't get it working under 12.04, but 13.10 took me 2 minutes.

    Most common 4 port hubs don't have the spacing between ports to allow you to get usb miners in there, but the http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005NGQWL2 I'm using w/ it's 60w power adapter should have more than enough for these things.

    Just got my three Blue Fury units in the post now. I'm trying to use them with MinePeon 0.2.4 PR2, but they are not being detected by cgminer or bfgminer.

    Any suggestions?
