Welp, I admittly was close to cashing out but I decided to wait until the next rewards halving. Seems so far away.

It's quite profitable to mine atm. Don't get pissed at people who is mining it for profit though. Buy more dogecoin if you think the price is truly too low. Infact hope for more people to mine, the more that mine then more expensive it is to mine -> it's worth more.

Also quite none can predict where the value would go. Maybe it picks up, maybe it turns out to be a short fad. Sometimes I think people only make predictions to be able to go back and say that they were right for brownie points, when it was a wild guess to start with. Personally I'd think that most altcoins don't really have much actual use other than pure speculation, but they're still fun to mine and use.

When the number of blocks in the chain reaches 100 000 (so far we have mined a bit over 23K blocks). This should happen roughly 52 days from now.

Due to the nature of how difficulty calculation vs the hashrate works, it tend to be a bit on the sooner than later side. A sudden spike in hashrate will produce a lot of blocks before the difficulty can retarget.

I get the feeling people will stop mining soon.

Take a look at coinwarz, it is pretty far down the list now. It is definitely not the most profitable coin to mine. Plus as buyers begin to dwindle and they have trouble selling coins...I really don't think they will continue much longer.

With everyone saying the coin is dead and with it not being profitable...miners should move on sooner than later. We may not even have to wait until halved block rewards to see a spike.

Also, take a look at the sales. The sales coming out are at 20k or less in volume. Meaning I doubt any investor or Doge enthusiast is selling at the moment, it is ALL miners. So if someone tells you people are panic selling, they are dead wrong.
