Alright cool, what state you in?


Yeah, most people will probably get their own transport, but alot of the guys in WA already know eachother, and thought it would be fun, plus a "convoy" across australia to get to it would get some media attention - which would be good.

Well it was my idea to try to organise a bus or convoy from Perth, hopefully getting SA and western Vic ppl to join on way thru, I also suggested it might be possible to do this from QLD thru NSW  and ACT.  
We arent telling ppl to come on the bus/convoy, it's just an idea, and obviously it is a long trip and some ppl wont be able to get time off work etc. Fly over great!! just be there
To me the whole idea of this is PUBLICITY, popular press loves "convoys" and stuff that cross the country!

Personally i would like to ride my motorbike over and go via great ocean road, not sure if this would be best route for a bus or convoy tho

Please  also remeber this idea is about an  hour old now, so we are brainstorming and seeing if there is interest

This is about getting the Bitcoin word out to the public anbd getting to know some of the faces of BTC in AU.
If this gets some momentum we may even be able to get some of the bigger BTC businesses and names to attend from around the world - we'll certainly be inviting

50% of the time dedicated to preparing for the conference should entail gathering media attention.  I mean like 100-200 hours of pure commitment to this and this alone.

Perhaps you can post the emails of some of the outlets and we can all encourage them to cover the event.  Also provide us with some brief details of what you would like us to mention in terms of date, location, time, # of attendees, purpose, etc. once these are finalized so that we can include these in the emails.
