Anonymous transactions would be useful in donations. Edward Snowden or Assange would benefit from this kind of thing. A currency that allows the world to support whistleblowers. It's one of the reasons why I first heard of btc. It's a bit risky but if darkcoin was used to donate to something like that it would make a splash. It's a very legitimate use for cryptocurrencies right now, today. It would get darkcoin on the map in a hurry.

A noble, worthwhile cause to donate support some funds towards... that would be the best marketing in my opinion.

Just a quick question on the mailing lists being talked about: I'm not a marketing guru so I don't know how it all works, but if I gathered a list of journo's email addresses and occasionally sent them press releases for our coin, wouldn't that essentially be spamming?

I know I paid via darksend, maybe others have and that is why it looks weird?  I really have trouble following a transaction so I wouldn't know a proper blockchain from anything else??  What is your reasoning/way of observation?

ChompyZ, only one problem that I see is that the chart showing how a transaction goes is outdated.  We now use throw away addresses when the change is returned to the original payer.  I wouldn't call it just coinjoin, but rather a hybrid or combination of coinjoin and single use addresses or something like that.  I'd also say simple yet highly effective combination of coinjoin and single use addresses.  Definitely use the new chart though
