That being said I am thinking City should get this but if Real progresses also fine with me if they both score a goal. I have a high stake ticket with both CL games as both to score so I am happy as long as goals come in.

Yup! I put it in the wrong thread but big_daddy is unasailable. Was virtually impossible to catch him before lockdown, but now out of the question. Early congratulations, guess he showed us who the big daddy really was huh.

As you point out, it's the best of the rest for us plebs and it's a lot of points for a lot of people. Smart move is to go with the crowd, but I'd like to get some distance early and then try to make up for it later if my strategy falls flat.

Anyway for tonight: not for Real or Barca, and have had to come up against both in the past 20 years, and have had Reds go to both too (Xabi, Macherano, I miss you guys) so of course it's sweet to beat them and I still want a rematch with Ramos, but I'm all about the odds tonight. Be nice to get in loads of goals but with the bois in white on top.

Anyone know when the line-ups get announced? They don't seem to have been yet. I won't submit my score until I see who's starting. I wonder if Bale will be on the bench? Real are stupid for not even benching him. They're also stupid for not loaning him out at least. Nobody is going to pay Bale's wages but I'm sure they could find someone to pay 10% or 20% of them at least and that's 10-20% they're saving if they have absolutely no intention of playing him. To be honest, if they're not going to play him they should just let him go anywhere that will have him. It's a damn shame he isn't playing football. He would be a nice addition to a team in the PL.



City should win, but I could see a draw maybe. Both teams to score in each half might be a nice one.

All set for today's matches. it is about time to test my new Data provider with 500MB download optical link. Should be more than enough for two Full HD game streams for myself and for my baby girl to watch cartoons on Netflix and leave me in peace with beers.

Edit: Damn, how I missed CL. I needed one half of proper football to erase all the gambling loses in the last month   Had both to score on both games for quarter of my bank (5x my usual high stake)

I cashed the parlay.  Yipeee.  Winning a football bet feels a lot better for some reason.  

Anyway what do you guys think of Napoli goinng thru?  Could they do a Lyon and take Barca out?  This is the best time to do it imho.

Edit:  I'm so temtped to take the double chance on Napoli at 2.47..

@toke nicely done but Napoli were crappy in the league against technically inferior opponents, I know Barca aren't anywhere near their best either but I can't see a way through for the Italians unless the Catalans really play awful.

@daddy good to see you picked both favourites tonight. Need them to win to bring my 6/1 parlay home, and I know none are really certain but counting on skill, patience and experience tonight.

Either way, watching them for sure.

By the way, anyone betting on the 20/21 prelim qualifiers in Switzerland? The opponents -- Tre Fiori, Moldovan maybe -- for the Irish team were 35/1 to win until Linfield managed to score just now. Looks like a crazy bet and I know next to nothing about them but the Irish boys don't even generally get past qualifiers even for Europa. Trying to find out how these guys managed to play, is this a new ruling or just I never was aware or is this something to do with Nations League?

Be cool if any of these exotic names make it to group.

@Trofo yep I admit it even as Barcelona fan, I barely know it when people who have seldom appeared in the starting lineup are on the bench. But I guess many teams are like this especially those who even have B squads.

Well, I watch all games of Barcelona, but some of these players are not known for me because I don't follow our B team much. For example I never seen De La Fuente, Jandro, Mingueza and Reis playing. Current Barcelona squad isn't deep and yesterday we were missing many important players. So, it's nothing strange that just 2 substitutions were used .
