    Thanks for all the help. Smiley  I don't have all those miners but didn't know if I had to include them else it would default to try to find them.  Only have 2 Butterfly labs jalapenos, 1 block disrupter and one gekko science.

    Is there a tutorial somewhere on how to the command switches?  Sorry still new to this.

    Well, I don't know of any tutorial.  The CGMiner thread has all of this info, but it is very long and may be difficult finding the correct info.  I think there is a USB readme too.

    I used to run multiple instances of CGMiner for different devices on different pools.  But I have never run two different versions of CGMiner on the same machine.  I'm not sure if that would cause an issue or not.

    Since your devices work fine in their proper CGMiner instance, I think I would suggest trying to run on a Linux box or Pi 4 and compile the latest version for all of your devices.  Sidehack's devices will definitely run better on Linux.

    Edit:  On your 4.11.1 add the command line "--usb BAS:0, ICA:0". That should disable the Jalapeno and the Block Erupter  or whatever it is.

    Yep you are right lol had some Star Trek playing the background and I guess it slipped while typing.  It is an Block Erupter ASIC Miner USB.

    Adding that line didn't fix the outcome. Sad  Pasted what you had and it had trouble loading the config file so put "--usb": "BAS:0, ICA:0" on the 4.11.1 (the one that runs the gekko science and still same issue as soon as I open up the other version of CG miner.

    I would still try it in the command line.  I seem to remember that advanced options aren't supported in the config file.  I have never used the config file as it was always causing problems for people.  I like to keep it simple.

    tbh - no clue but as my edit stated, it is now working fine miners performance is almost 260 gh/s higher on linux vs windows - simply amazing. On Windows the average was 730ish, on Linux it is averaging 990ish.

    I followed the instructions at the beginning of the thread to install CGMiner onto a Raspberry PI, but I appear to be missing the CGMiner executable file.

    Did you type a zero instead of a "O" (capital o) in the autogen line and it returned an error and you didn't notice, so when you typed the make line nothing got compiled?

    Oh, right. You forgot your dot slash.

    That's what tells the OS that the command you're trying to run is an executable in the current directory rather than a global command.

    What miner do you have?  If your using a NewPac then what Hub do you have?  Sounds like your Hub may not be supplying enough power.  I would doubt that the Pi would supply enough power for a stick miner.  Be careful not to overload it, the Pi that is.

    We need a FAQ section on the first page of this thread for the common issues that arise. Or simply a format of questions that get answered so we have a good idea of the system rather than “it doesnt work, whats wrong?”.

    Maybe something along the lines of:-

    1). What OS are you using? Windows,Linux variant?

    2). What version of cgminer are you running? Vh’s or standard?

    3). What usb hub is being used?

    4). Is the hub mains powered? If so what is the power/amperage rating?

    5). How have you connected the hub? Usb2 or 3 port?

    6). What is the specific problem you are having?

    Just an idea. May help speed up the diagnosis of problems.

    I have a couple of NewPac miners. I'm sorry that I didn't specify because I thought that this was the NewPac support forum and didn't realize that the 606 was also supported here.

    Try plugging one in and getting it working then plug the other in at the other end of the hub. Try different ports on the hub. Not knowing how the power "things" <--(insert correct terminology here) are laid out then you may well be overloading it, hence they both drop out.

    Now I'm totally at a loss. I purchased and installed GekkoScience 7 port hub and none of the miners are recognized... I was able to at least see them with the cheaper hub:

    GS Hub with 3 NewPac installed:

    Any thoughts?
