My only worries for him to become starter is the early fatigue he can get that makes him not much available on the 4th quarter which he needed the most. Its noticeable that he is already catching a breath after 1 quarter of being active.
He is already 33 that makes him easy to get tired.
33 years old is not old, just look at LeBron, hes 40 and still playing over 30 minutes a game. So thats not really an issue. Besides, the Pacers are great at managing their rotation. Theyve got plenty of guys who can step in and give T.J. some rest when needed.
Each person has different physique. Lebron is an all star because of his one of a kind physique so you shouldnt compared TJ to an all star player casually.
I agree that 33 years old is not that old but if you compared his age to other players on the floor especially OKC you will notice the importance of age factor on an endurance game.
Pacers coach is not dumb enough to bench TJ when he is on fire if he can sustain the same level all throughout the game.
Even without Haliburton, the Pacers wont go down easily. And if you notice, there hasnt been much line movement, which shows even the bookies are still confident in Indianas chances.
Youre right on this. Haliburton effect is only on the last quarter so I understand why the bookie odds dont adjust much. I never said they are going down easily, my concern is mainly if TJ can sustain a full game as complete replacement to Hali.
