Watched last night's game and it was a joy after so long. The fake crowd sound in the background was jarring in the beginning but you get used to it gradually. I imagine if their is a guy at the studio trying to match the crowd's.noise level with every 4 and 6. The one thing i definitely missed was the crowd's rising cheer at the beginnign when the first ball is bowled in such tournaments. Kudos to the team IPL for the creativity though. The messGe from UAE minister in the beginning was nice to hear.

The  match itself was a cracker. The last minute fireworks from Curran stole the match away. Two awesome catches from du Plessis. Overall, it was worth it though you will miss the genuineness of the crowd and other bells and whistles of a packed stadium.

I switched on the tv in the middle of the first innings and when i heard the crowd noise, i believed that they have actually allowed the crowd in the stadium but later it was clear that was an artificial sound. Those who are watching on TV, never feel that the match is played in empty stadiums.

Betting on Delhi today but scared as they always prove to be the weakest. Punjab as usual have a very weak record while I used to keep backing them. Want to see Gayle batting well and hitting those huge sixes.

Disappointed with Hotstar. They used to allow free streaming of cricket matches and now asking for subscription. JioTV is not helping either 

Exactly i missed the match but watched highlight ,really CSK played better than MI .The eraly wicked loosing was ,ake some difficulty but at the end CSK played really well .FAF Du Plesiss was exceptional and also he is a match winner .

Hotstar holds the online broadcasting rights for this year, and they had deal with Jio last year so people who had jio app can watch it for free but this time Jio not interest to renew the deal so hotstar holds the sole right of it and no one can officially broadcast.

Facebook pages may illegally broadcast it but soon they will be takedown due to copyrights from the facebook side so need to find new pages for every matches.

I just googled a bit. It looks like Jio still have some plans, where you get free subscription to Hotstar. Check these:
