I don't think you got it right, he doesn't say that Barcelona has only a 1% chance of winning the Europa League but that he only has a 1% chance of winning the Spanish championship, and I agree with that.
Barcelona also can no longer win the Spanish Cup and the only trophy they can win this year is the Europa League.
Therefore, I believe that Xavi will take this competition seriously and do everything to make Barcelona win it.

What do they expect in La Liga? they will only be good to be in second position there and that can't be denied anymore because their chances are slim and almost non-existent but for position 2 I don't think this is too grandiose because tomorrow they could get that position.
For the Europa League they will definitely make a splash here, they have lost quite a lot of money due to being eliminated in the Champions League and indeed the only solace is the Europa League now

Do they really need it though? I mean sure Sevilla game will be "a bit" more difficult and that is understandable. However, Frankfurt doesn't look like the type of game they really need to be getting ready at all. It feels like game that they could win even when they are tired, because I see them as that much better.

Then they will play Levante, which is not a problem at all for them if you ask me, then again Frankfurt so pretty easy games. They could even rest some of the players in levante game and get back to Frankfurt game a lot better. This is of course where I see them, if you think they are not as good as that, then you could think I am wrong.

Personally, it seems to me that Xavi came too late this season for Barcelona to overtake Real in the Spanish league standings and win the Spanish title.

In terms of being competitive, I think the Braga - Rangers matchup is going to be exactly like that. Both of them eliminated very tough opponents in the previous rounds. Braga eliminated Monaco last and Rangers eliminated Dortmund two rounds ago. These are very good achievements for these teams certainly. And it is really hard to predict the result of the first leg now. But I'm feeling like Braga are going to be winning the game by 2-1 and secure a nice advantage.

When you become one of the first two teams, you already have the right to participate in the champions league directly from the groups. As such, a significant amount of money is added to the cash register as income. Of course, if they win in the Europa League, they will be more profitable. They can only console themselves for their elimination in the Champions League if they win the Europa League trophy.
