Well we are getting close and I was just doing some research and stumbled upon this nugget.

"The Lions scored 461 points last season. That put them third of ALL Time for most points scored in a single season !!! "

And you guys thought I was nuts for defending them and being all in last season.

sometimes I do have to give myself a pat on the back because no one else ever does,

Anyh0o, 2 more weeks and we can light up this thread arguing about rules changes! woohoo cant wait!

1st NFL preseason game is now just slightly more than 4 days away, Chargers vs. Lions in Canton, OH.

Chargers do have a Hall of Fame inductee this year, Antonio Gates, who was on the Chargers his entire career.

Right now, the line for the game is about -1.5 Lions, with a lot of predictions for them to win it by a field goal.

Of course its near impossible to tell how 2nd or 3rd string players will do against each other, but anyway, we are almost so back. Hang in there... life will soon be worth living again.

Kyler Murray's storyline for 2025 season heheheh. He will be under much pressure if he does not give a good performance. However, it appears that everyone should begin to question if there is something wrong with the player or the team because it is very possible that the coaches are not using him properly.

Kyler Murray should be traded to the Dolphins and work with Mike McDaniel. He will he more happy there and he will he allowed more to pass the ball more deeply in the field.

Entering Year 7, the descriptors for the next phase of the Kyler Murray experience have been exhausted.

A referendum on his future.

A make-or-break season.

A turning point.

A watershed moment.

For three straight training camps under the current Arizona Cardinals regime, this language setting up a breakthrough or breakdown has gone on and on. Each version related to something that had supposedly changed in the Murray matrix. Maybe he was healthier than ever. Maybe his confidence was at an all-time high or some of the pieces around him had been improved. Perhaps he’d spent more time in the facility during the offseason, getting stronger or wiser or more sharp with his study and workout habits. Whatever the developments, the underlying theme was always consistently suggestive: The best Kyler Murray? It was the next Kyler Murray.

But turning 28 next month and longing for the next level of his game, there seems to be a reality settling into place when it comes to Murray’s development. It suggests the 2025 season is not so much about dreaming of the considerable ceiling that has never been consistently reached, but more about raising his floor to the point the franchise can methodically win games around him — rather than a continual press to win primarily through him.

In any case, who will play on this season's fantasy league?

I've been so busy lately, that I didn't get to watch it until yesterday, but I had already read your post before that.  Not that it's much of a spoiler, the game doesn't matter.  It's preseason, it doesn't matter.  I have to remind myself of that.  But nonetheless, IT"S FOOTBAAAAAAL!  We're back, baby.

Are you talking about the prediction pool or the fantasy league?  I already kicked off the prediction pool for this year, I couldn't wait.

If you're talking about the fantasy league, I would definitely like to switch to Sleeper this year.  Hueristic was the commissioner last year and I held the duckets.  If that arrangement is okay with everyone, I don't mind keeping it as it is.  If Hueristic isn't interested in learning how to commish the new system, one of the other guys who has experience with Sleeper may want to volunteer.

I was curious who the starting QBs were for each team, and then expanded it to make a cheat sheet of starting (fantasy-pertinent) players for this season and an overall summary of their defense. I tried to create a grading system but it was pretty meaningless.

It appears the real WR2 for the Jets is Allen Lazard. Will update the thingy accordingly.
