In my opinion we are all elaborating the whole thing, the message on the jersey is clear from far and near. Rollbit wouldn't because of the color of Southampton jersey change the existing color of their company brand they are well known for neither will Southampton do otherwise.

What risk exactly is he pitching on about the advertisement. Just the amount of awareness alone that label ROLLBIT on the Southampton jersey will give to the company throughout this season alone is something we can't imagine with the world views EPL matches enjoys. Moreover, there's no business with no risk except there's no profit involved.

Did you expect the redesign to look more attractive until you bought and collected the kit?
I don't mind the design because basically visibility is the most important thing. The design team has also gone through several processes before launching it and selling the equipment to fans, so in the end it depends on your individual taste. You can even buy a Southampton kit without sponsorship if you want, it is sold freely on the market even though it is not an official one.

It's a good design but there is always space for improvement. We see every new season, a club will have new shirt kits for home and home-away matches. A design can be best for this season but in a next season, it can be improved. Sometimes a new design can be better than a previous one or worse than a previous one. Generally, designing is a creative job so designers never self-limit themselves to make creative designs for a company they're working with.

In this season, let's enjoy these designs but we can expect more excellent designs from the team next season in 2025 - 2026.

First match was a poor outing by Southampton as they still lost to Newcastle despite the red card that Newcastle received at the 28th minute which I was expecting will change the game in favor of their visitors. As disappointing as it may be, they have to move on and look at the next game against Nottingham Forest, a match I expect them to win since they are home and will enjoy the advantage that come with that. I still believe they will do well after a few legs and by then, they would have be able to overcome the fear of playing in the elite league. 

I watched the Newcastle vs Southampton game. Southampton did not play badly even though Newcastle were down to 10 men after Fabian Schar had to leave the field in the 28th minute.
Armstrong and his friends played well for matchday 1. It was not them who played badly, but the solidity of Newcastle players throughout the game made it difficult for Southampton players to score from every chance they got.

Against Newcastle is match 1 and there are still many other games where Southampton have the chance to get full points. For me, every next game is important. What is certain is the preparation against Nottingham Forest.

Statistics after the match, Southampton got 78% ball possession. 19 total shots. From the statistics, it shows that Southampton dominated the match. The evaluation for Southampton's next match is in finishing. Maybe the forwards need to be trained specifically in finishing if they want to stay in the highest caste of the English Premier League.

Outside that they did have good stat in this game I didn't expect them to win against Newcastle because Newcastle is no longer a middle-tier team we could see how they where able to hold the Saints even after being down early in the game around 28 mins. Newcastle growth as been remarkable  and so this is fair losing against them.

As far as I'm concerned the combinations on the jersey design are good to behold, that is the most important thing to me. You can't please everybody when it comes to creativity, your best perception can be another person's turn off and if you're expecting everybody to like what you've created then you'll never achieve anything. Let's enjoy this design like you said, if there's a need for the management to change the designs in another season then it's all good, innovations are a continuous process.
