Bhutan has been buying Bitcoin for many years, but they are not able to hold Bitcoin permanently for a long time. Because this mindfulness city has allowed spending 10,000 Bitcoins, but spending 10,000 Bitcoins at this time would be foolish because the price of Bitcoin is much lower than in the past.
So if they wait a few more days, that is, they will not have to spend half of the Bitcoins for this city, so holding it for a long time will definitely be more profitable. El Salvador is one of the unique countries where Bitcoin has been held for a long time, so other countries should follow this Bitcoin holding policy.
There are two sides to the coin as well. If there are benefits in holding Bitcoin for a long term, Governments do have certain costs to incur and sometimes have to utilize their reserves for development. There may be situations when Bhutan could want to spend part of its holdings, even when the price is below its peaks.
For governments, it is important not to just hold Bitcoin forever. They should have a clear strategy when to hold, and when to sell, and how much they can afford to put at stake. El Salvadors long term strategy with Bitcoin is of course very interesting, but each country has a different need financially speaking. Patience is virtue but sound financial planning is just as well.
Source Code: linkGelefu mindfulness city will be able to gain more fame if it is built around Bitcoin and the desire to hold Bitcoin is aroused among the people. Because it has to be transformed into a Bitcoin trading zone, and the excitement of Bitcoin education among the people here has to be reflected, then this city will be able to gain more fame.
I think integrating Bitcoin into Gelephu's economic and technological narrative has great potential to make the city more relevant. However I'm not sure if simply pushing for Bitcoin trading will make the city a success. There need to be a foundation of education first so the population is aware of the opportunities and risks of Bitcoin.
Educating residents about self-custody, security, volatility and responsible investing could enable them to make good choices, instead of pursuing hype blindly.
Other aspects that could positively affect a Bitcoin-friendly approach include drawing investors, businesses, and tech projects. From my perspective the key is a good mix of education, an enabling ecosystem, and smart regulations.
