They are not at loss if they don't sell their bitcoin that they accumulated at a higher price above this current price. This is why you have to be a long-term investor and focus on only buying regularly every week with DCA overtime so that you are only building and growing regardless of the price of bitcoin because the price of bitcoin will definitely bounce back and go higher in future.

You don't need to have enough dollar before you can keep on investing as a long-term investor, because you can use as low as $10 from your discretionary income to get your bitcoin investment start and continue buying regularly every week with that amount non stop for 4-10 years and above. Before you know it, you will have build up your portfolio to a size that you will be marveled at. There is power in small piling up regularly, persistently and consistently as long as you keep your bitcoin accumulation ongoing overtime.

All you need is to figure out how much is your discretionary income, so that you will know the amount that you can put into bitcoin every week that wouldn't stress your finance.

It's about hodling long enough, 5+ years at least, to see great results in the end.

BTC is no magic wand, it has its rules and properties 

It is only those investors that are into bitcoin with the motive of making quick profit that will see there bitcoin holdings of being at loss when ever there is a decline in price .for long term investors  are not moved by price corrections since they are not traders that wants quick profit.so talking about investing at average price yeilding higher profits is majorly traders mindset and with the way you are sounding it seems you prioritise short term investment to long term investment. I don't see the possibilities of buying bitcoin at an average price and getting higher profits within a short time.your main focus should be on continuous accumulation of bitcoin using the dca strategy and holding for 10 years or more and not exposing your bitcoin investment into risk all in the name of making higher profits within a short time.

Perhaps it's very clear that in the current world system almost all the patterns only makes the class system to remain reged but bitcoin someone from experience deviated from this system by giving the ordinary guys like us the power or provisions to move from one class to another class by taking a simple action of stacking up bitcoin in a long term vision.

Perhaps guys might not have the conviction that bitcoin will be profitable in the long run, yes it's not guaranteed that bitcoin will give us the profit but perhaps we found ourself in this community with likewise minds who have been holding and are holding till the future hence this is enough conviction for newbies or guys like me to keep buying and/or ongoingly invest in bitcoin because considering every investment bitcoin seem to be the most effective in return of investment in just or with a short period of 4 years but perhaps if only one has invested in the appropriate time like right now and perhaps in a long term of 10 years plus one would for every reason see more why to invest in bitcoin.

I see it the same way. There is a simple example from the past. If we look back 50 years, you cant compare all prices with today. The prices for houses, cars, land, or even the price of milk have risen. More fiat money is printed, and it has to go somewhere. I dont think this circle will ever close. Debts will always be incurred, and this money may also be created out of nothing, even if it looks different in theory.

And yes, you are probably right, it is much more than 2%... because of the coronavirus, it was probably 6-10%. I can still remember Turkey, Venezuela, and Argentina with extreme inflation rates.

There are ways to keep two somewhat contradictory thoughts in mind at the same time.

Bitcoin is not guaranteed to be profitable in the future.

Bitcoin is likely amongst the best, if not the best, place to put value, based on it being a fundamentally paradigm-shifting asset that is still quite under-appreciated, under-adopted, and so there is likely a lot of ongoing potential for upside growth since it is an asset that is available to anyone and everyone all around the world.. yet we still ONLY have in the ballpark of less than 1% world-wide adoption, even though there are some hoarders that include institutions, governments and rich people who are sucking up decent amounts of the supply. .and causing the price to go higher, but not based on world-wide adoption, so any individuals who are able to recognize the value of bitcoin as an investment and to make sure that they have bitcoin, are likely to disproportionately profit from their choice so long as they don't make mistakes in regards to their investment into bitcoin that include but are not limited to needs to be able to make sure that they can continue to pay their living expenses bills and to maintain and/or build their bitcoin stash...

And yeah, there are a lot of normies who still have not identified bitcoin as a great place to put value, which is evidenced by the ongoingly low level of adoption and even the low level of seriousness being taken in regards to putting value into bitcoin.  We are still early, even though so many folks consider themselves to be late, and they are either no coiners or low coiners.  Even a lot of low coiners do not recognize themselves as low coiners (including a lot of members in this forum and in other bitcoin/crypto forums) and they are not prioritizing the ongoing, persistent, consistent and perhaps even aggressive accumulation of bitcoin, even if they might already own some bitcoin (whether if they hold their bitcoin through third parties or in personal custody - perhaps learning how to get into a practice of personal custody is another way that any bitcoiner can establish a level of seriousness when it comes to making sure that they hold a decent amount of their bitcoin value (perhaps more than 75% of their holdings?) within their own private wallet(s) - which is a lot of what gives value and power to bitcoin).


The people (the public) is almost constantly lied to about the level of debasement of the dollar and various other fiat currencies, and yeah, some fiat currencies do much worse than others, and the level of the abuse of the printing (debasing) of the currency varies too, since it may well be the case that many governments try to get away with as much debasement as they are able to get away with, and surely there are some governments that are more responsible than others, yet even from a government incentives' level they might feel that it works to their disadvantage if they do not create the artificial feelings of wealth (that is if they distribute money fairly), yet we also likely realize that governments tend to have coverted and/or even corrupt ways in which they likely end up unfairly (and even covertly) rewarding some kinds of entities, institutions and individuals more than others.

Of course, when we are able to understand the various ways that governments debase currencies while at the same time will frequently try to proclaim that there are other reasons for the suffering of the people through raises in prices, we can recognize and appreciate some of the strength and justification of bitcoin as an investment thesis that ends up serving as a sound money that is even in the ballpark of around 1,000x or more better than gold (even though it could take 50-200 years or more for bitcoin and gold to reach fair market valuations relative to each other.

In fact all investors know that the price of bitcoin will rise but if the price of bitcoin falls the right time to buy it will be when the price of bitcoin increases so those who bought bitcoin can profit. The main characteristic of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is their extreme volatility. This volatility can also create a big profit opportunity in particular bitcoin is still seen by many as digital gold a kind of savings or capital.

For me, I would only consider buying when there's a dip when I already have a sufficient amount of bitcoin that's stashed for the long-term, this notion of buying at the dip is probably caused by people that are advising newbies about how to invest in bitcoin, although they're right about dips being an opportunity to buy so they can get as much profit, it's the matter of timing that is wrong. I am guilty of this advice too, I tend to forget the part that they should start investing now no matter what because it's a test too in my opinion, if they can stomach the fact that their investment goes down so bad, will they be able to hold it out or not.

Now that you mention it, I've come to the realization that DCA is still the best, buying at dips shouldn't be religiously done or as you've said, some dips may not end up happening and at the end of it all, you come up empty handed waiting for nothing at all which is really crazy. In all this, I think that it should go without saying that buying dips is a must recommend thing "IF" if you already have a bitcoin portfolio that you think is already a lot in terms of long-term profit and that DCA is the best approach because it's consistent.

You have it clear how waiting for the perfect time to buy can be tricky compared to just buying bit by bit regularly. The key is knowing what you want and how you feel about money. Buying a little at a time, no matter the price dca, takes away the stress of guessing when to buy because no one knows when prices will go up or down.

If someone earns money regularly, setting aside a small amount to buy Bitcoin all the time is a good idea. It’s less stressful and helps you slowly save up over time. Sure, waiting to buy when prices drop might sound smart, but it’s important not to get stuck waiting too long and miss the chance to save little by little.In the end, the best plan is the one that works for you and helps you stick to your goals, whether that means buying a little all the time or waiting for good deals sometimes.

Some investors doesn't seem to understand this at all, I remember very well that you have side this before and it very important that while one is investing into Bitcoin, they just have to know the right thing to do so that they don't miss out or invest with the pressure of FOMO which could cause them some psychological problems.

What i mean by missing out is that, we already know that the price of Bitcoin can be unpredictable most of the time. It's possible that the price can be bearish and while some is waiting for the price to dip more before they purchase, they would be disappointed that price will begin to push up instead of dipping more. While some people too would be influenced with FOMO that they would buy up at a certain price and price could dip more. With all of those situations, it better for an invest to have all the knowledge that will help them to invest successful. The DCA strategy is a very great tool to employ while investing into Bitcoin, they will invest without tension, relatively to their income and also price movement.
