Me and my husband has separate Bitcoin holdings since we consider our Bitcoin a separate personal investment so we can monitor on our own.

We share on most of our finances including stock investments, insurance and life savings while we choose leaving Bitcoin investments since it’s just for fun with us.

We have different source of income when it comes to our Bitcoin holdings while our job salary goes to our shared finances.

The couples knows what is best for themselves, if they have an itch free joint account with the commercial banks, they can also decide to do same in crypto, this is all about trust and the same way money in fiat is being involved, same also do we have the value in bitcoin as a digital currency or an investment asset as it may be applicable to them.

They can decide for themselves, provided that the two of them have the bitcoin experience, knows about the network and can take charge independently or collectively manage their wallet together without having any problem, but if they have issues with trust and finances, then joint account in bitcoin should not be advised because they never passed the test of fiat, no need of taking it to the bitcoin network to avoid more complications.

I don't like the idea of sharing entire finance concerns with my partner, and yet we can save together for a specific purpose on agreed upon sums, possibly have a Bitcoin portfolio where we're saving for the kids together, more like an insurance fund, while still having separate individual portfolios.

On a personal note, it's important that investments are personal to each spouse as it would help you strive for more success on your own and not being overly dependent on a partners efforts for the growth of the joint Treasury.

Good to know how things work in different countries and even a woman has shared above how they do it as couples. I can agree with you that the old way of man's total sovereignty is not the best. Separate investment portfolio does not actually mean distrust.

In terms of Bitcoin investment, I would say that a couple can keep their Bitcoin investments in different accounts if they want. Because if a couple keeps their Bitcoins in different accounts, then those Bitcoins will be less risky because if that couple keeps their Bitcoins in one account and for some reason faces problems with that account, then they can lose their money or even lose it. And if their investments are kept in two different accounts, then if there is a problem with one, then the other can be safe. I have not created more than one Bitcoin account yet because my wife is not very experienced with Bitcoin yet, but of course we can have a joint account in the banking system.

If you talk about bad first, of course you do not marry your partner or if you think the negative first for what you plan to manage Bitcoin investment for both, it's better to live alone, it's safer.

My understanding, if you have a desire to live together with your partner, of course your money is the money of your wife's money and vice versa, if you talk about Bitcoin Investment in My choice is: Invest in a different portfolio, you can make a 2x profit with your partner, with the condition that there is no negative element.

As an alternative to 2/3 multi signature wallet, I have heard of joint custodial wallets that is being offered by exchanges. I don't know which exchanges offer this. I know using exchanges for this purpose is not a good idea but the 2/3 multi signature wallet idea needs a trusted person which will be fine if the couples have children.

Not exchanges but some wallets provide this by storing one signature with them which is primarily for the recovery purpose. But I don't trust anyone with my money so better choosing the options that doesn't involvi trusting others is good. Unfortunately there's no joint custody of funds can be availed through crypto like traditional banking. Multi signature wallet is better than using those paid wallet services but as I said instead of sharing having separate is better.

But you can track watch and track each other's wallet without need to access the funds, simply by importing xpub that gives watch only access.

The paid wallet custody idea will only come in when there is extreme doubt or distrust among couples. At this time, it can be good to assume that the marriage is already failing.
