Definitely Bitcoin is not for the weak. To be a good investor you must be patient, dedicated and consistent to be able to invest.

One of the important thing to consider in Bitcoin investment is to check your level of income generation and the duration you want to invest maybe short or long term investment. If you are a low income earner, and accumulating Bitcoin with that amount, it will affect your income. So then there is no point of investing. But if your level of income can sustain investing into Bitcoin, emergency fund and discretion to invest in a regular basis then you can invest. but then if not possible it's better you don't invest atol.

I read the topic and wanted to be outraged, and then I read the post) I completely agree with the author. Bitcoin is definitely for a long time and without panic. Well, plus, what's the point of investing crumbs in it if you want to make money fast. With this rate, you can only raise money by investing large amounts, but you can also lose on such swings. Therefore, if you make savings in the crypt, then this is a cue ball for the long term. And you can safely play on the courses on altcoins, there you can start with small amounts.

I know many people will still ignore this thread and do what is on their mind, but if truth be told someone shouldn't be ignorance and invest bitcoin if they lack the few things I pointed out, there is no doubt that bitcoin investment can be profitable when hold for long term, so if someone must invest in bitcoin he or she should work on his or her self if they belong to the Category of the people i just listed, though am not discriminating anyone nor saying that bitcoin investment belong to someone category of people am only giving a word of advice as someone who cares, because for you to be profitable in bitcoin investment you need to apply good strategy and good practices, for knowledge and money is very essential in bitcoin investment to be able to accumulate a good portion of bitcoin to hold for  long term.

Most people think that bitcoin is a "get-rich-quick scheme". They buy it then in a few months, their investment will grow 20% or even more. While that could be possible, they don't acknowledge how volatile bitcoin can be. Sometimes your expectation won't happen and end up holding yourbitcoin for a long time because you missed selling during its peak at bull market.

To be sure you have a Bitcoin investment is to know the reality that you are keeping the fraction of bitcoin or the amount you have in your personal wallet which is a noncustodial wallet to avoid being hacked. If you are keeping your coin in a centralized exchange then you are making a mistake to hodl there for a long time. During bull season, coins rise and become the envy of hackers who would keep making attempt on exchanges and your wallets, so if you have exposed your passphrase to a third party you are likely going to lose what you have laboured for. Therefore, it is advisable while hodling btc, do that in a secured personal wallet (noncustodial).

Just to further add on what you shared, I deeply regretted the times where I sold most of my BTCs that I earned through participating in campaign signatures over the past eight ( years since I joined this forum in 2017.

Back in 2017, the price of 1 BTC was around ~$4,000. People were already rejoicing during that time whenever its price increases around a thousand dollars. The moment it fell from $20,000, people were panicking and saying that BTC was a bubble that just popped. People who joined the bandwagon without even researching what BTC was during that time were also the same people who sold their BTCs and claimed that everything was a scheme and a scam.

Fast forward to 2025, BTC is now breaking heights and reaching boundaries with its price. If anyone is skeptical or on the fence whether to invest or not, now is the time to purchase and set it aside for at least a minimum of five (5) years as a relatively long-term investment.

You must understand what freedom means in living this life.
Everyone has the right to determine what they want as long as it does not conflict with the rules. Bitcoin is for everyone and everyone can have Bitcoin even though only certain people can have Bitcoin for various reasons.

Bitcoin for us is an extraordinary system in the currency sector. Its use can also make people store value against fiat currencies. As an asset that is expected to be something in the long term, this also cannot be blamed even though some groups are not happy with the existence of Bitcoin.

Having the basic knowledge of bitcoin is enough for anyone who wants to invest in bitcoin, because you arw investing in a long-term. Therefore, you can be learning more about bitcoin simultaneously as you are investing. Bitcoin is very broad and you cannot learn everything about bitcoin within a short period of time.

Investing in bitcoin these days becomes a trend. We often hear profits here and there. But we never hear them losses everywhere, and I think that’s the reason why people rush to invest in bitcoin even without proper knowledge and lack of experience. They think bitcoin is a get-rich-quick, but in reality there’s no easy profits and that anticipated profits could even turn into instant losses if these people invest in bitcoin blindly.

To know about what investment is, one should define what is an investment...   I believe it is misleading to say that cryptocurrency trading is not a Bitcoin investment, what if the cryptocurrency that is being traded is Bitcoin?  Does it not fall into Bitcoin investment?

Although you are highlighting things that lean towards long-term investment, do not forget that short-term investment is also called an investment, may it be Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency in the form of trading.

Why do traders need to stay away from Bitcoin as their investment?  If one is knowledgeable about trading, why limit themselves and not invest in Bitcoin to take advantage on Bitcoin market volatility?  I have read a news about a Bitcoin trader who take advantage of the emotions of people and is able to profit millions of dollars in a short span of his trade by selling his Bitcoin driving the price down since many follow, then buying at a lower rate leaving him with the same amount of Bitcoin and an extra millions of profit.



They can DCA, and buy a small amount of Bitcoin that is comfortable for their budget, after all one can buy for as low as $5 - $10 which I think won't jeopardize his monthly budget.  If ever time comes he needs to sell his BTC prematurely, at least that way, he has the funds to help him when he is in need.  Isn't that wonderful that he has something to spend. From what we know, that fund could have already been spent if the person did not use it for Bitcoin investment?
