I notice that even with blagos miner or pocminner_poolv1 ( im minning at devs v2 pool )  when the hdd stop reading the plots the hdd stop running and then i hear a clicking sound, this happend everytime in every blocks.

Is this ok? this will not shorten the life of the hard disk, should not be better to keep the hdd running and dont stop after reading the plot on every blocks?

Dunno if im asking like a noob but that sound "scared" me, i hope you guys tell me if all is ok or not

Can't remember who posted about it, but a great, little free-ware tool for Windows is NetTime. You can have much more detailed settings than in Window's own sync service. You can have it updating automatically to the servers of your choice, but also sync the clock manually by just one button click.

I guess we wont avoid the problem of inductivism, but a test of 25,000 drives is stronger as evidence than some random, Google-found forum posts. But be my guest, keep Googling for support
