I am positive it will happen, correlating with number of transaction BTC and Monero have.   So far in last 2 years the number of Monero transactions in % grew faster then Bitcoins. This trend should continue, because every time new people come to Bitcoin, part of them moves further to Monero. And this "part" is just getting bigger and bigger.  Biggest inflow will happen a year after next financial crisis hits us. When people will realize why be your bank is wise thing to be. And especially a Swiss bank.

That would mean dumping their own projects, BTC and ZEC

We have all noticed it but realistically its probably just a correlation causation fallacy since the general trend for Monero has always been up and there are always trolls. Or you know not always but most of the time both of those things are the case.
