I think on the first day Australia take an advantage because when a team wins the toss and elects to bowl first they need to take quick wickets which England were not able to do and to be honest did get lucky after the rain delay with a run out. That kind of sparked them up and they did bowl a bit better getting Warner out. They also got Steve Smith in the night session where batting is difficult but I think Australia played well and I put them in front right now. The key to England getting Australia out for under 400 is to take quick wickets in the 1st session and for Australia to get to at least 350+ the key man is Marsh as he is the most experienced out of the 2 batsman at the crease. If he goes onto making a century then it could be tough for England as they will most likely be batting in the night session where like I said batting is tough and even tougher with a new ball.

i not see England winning or drawing this second test match against Australia because it will be hard for England to bat at night on this ground. i think Australia will declare soon and put Australia in to bat after the tea break so they bowl at England in the night session. i think Australia will win this match even they are slow at getting runs.

England already lost their first wicket and now they are trail by 413 runs in the 1st innings. England has to concentrate on building a good partnership in order to draw this match otherwise Australia will try their best to win this match too. If rain continues and can't play a game then this match will end in a draw otherwise it all depends on England batsman performance.

Yes I agree, England were lucky that the rain came just when Australia looked like getting on top of them. Now thanks to that rain England were let off the hook and will find batting a lot easier in the day when compared to batting at night. They still need to bat well, the key being Cook, if Australia get him early today then I think England won't make any more then 350 runs. The other key batsman is Root, get these 2 players early and its goodnight for England. If there are any more rain delays this test match could come a draw but right now I still think Australia can win.

If pollution becomes bad again then SL team can give the same reason not to bat and bowl then the match may end a draw. Yesterday SL players already gave that reason few times and went back to pavilion which makes Indian captain declare match early. I think if possible India will allow SL to bat in second innings also then India know the target to after in second innings.
