Even if a team on the west manages to beat Denver this year, which could be done because most teams are not three peat type of teams and just win it once (look at bucks for example) but that doesn't mean that we are not going to end up with East teams just letting whoever is the new west team to win that easily. If Suns ends up going to finals this year, they would still have to play against the team from the east and they may end up losing that as well, so its never guaranteed. I am hoping that it would be good to see a bunch of teams trying to end up good, its not good to have bad parity and just good teams at the top, 1-2 good teams and rest sucks would be terrible.
If the Nuggets didn't let Bruce Brown go to the other team, I would say the Nuggets are the new dynasty. I don't have any idea why they let go of the piece who made a good contribution during their playoff run. Well, they might have a good plan, but they just sacrificed the team chemistry.
Nevertheless, the Nuggets could still be a good team even without him, they will just need to fill another piece that could perfectly complement the style of play Jokic and Murray brings to the team.
If I'm to be ask if the Nuggets could make a repeat? I would say 70% yes, until I can find a team in the upcoming regular season that eventually worked out after rebuilding.
If the same competitiveness that they will bring the chance is still high for the Nuggets to defend their title, they still have the same core
and even Brown already been traded the possibility that they can fill that space again is not by far.
Having Jokic, Murray and Gordon healthy will allow the competitiveness to continue, with a good two-way role player like Gordon, they've got a
good stopper and a finisher in one.
Though we all see that teams will not just sit and let the defending champion to easily take another title, it would be really interesting
to see what the new season will bring to every fan who loves supporting their teams.
