it s not possible with 1 gpu you have a multi gpu ring

I am with cuda 8 now, but the error remains: CUDA driver version is insufficient for CUDA runtime version
I am using driver version 367.35 which is higher than the driver that cames with the CUDA 8 package!
should i install the driver (older) that cames with cuda 8 package instead?.
LD_LIBRARY_PATH points to cuda-8.0 and nvcc --version gives me cuda 8.
i don't know what else to try

I tried to test it in OPENGL mode, but i get right after [OPENCL] using device: Geforce GTX 1070 (Opencl 1.2 CUDA)

I compiled with -DCOMPUTE=61, will try without that.

PITCAIRN CARDS AND HASH RATES--

I am truly interested in in your personal Ethminer version 1.1.8.  I have 4 Pitcairn chip cards, R7 265, that I have pulled off my shelf and set to work mining ETH.  They get about 10MH/s each while mining ETH.  I expected the rate to be higher, but figured that it might be due to the larger DAG and greater network difficulty.  If your coding doubles the hash rate, or even increases the hash rate by 25-50%, it is a real achievement.

I hope that you publish a public sample soon, even if you delay the release of your code for a while.  I'd like to try a Linux binary when it is available.  I also have 6 Curacao chip cards, R7 370; Curacao is a chip derived from Pitcairn architecture.  I thought with lower temperatures and less wattage, they'd be good for mining.  Please release at least an "alpha" in binaries, you can delay any code release while research and development is going on.  To meet the license, eventually the code has to be available.       --scryptr

TRY SETTING IT UP FOR EXPANSE--

Somebody said Expanse is still possible with a 750ti.  The DAG may still be small enough and the network difficulty low enough.  I haven't tried it, though.

With 10 750ti cards you could make good profit with Library Credits (LBC), Decred (DCR), or SiaCoin (SC).  Epsylon3's CCminer v1.8 will soon support the algo for SiaCoin, and already is the best CUDA-miner for LBC and DCR..  GOminer likely works with 750ti cards already, but I am mining LBC with them, and earn several LBC a day.  It just works, and it is already there.  No struggle for these coins.  My bigger cards mine ETH, and the old AMD cards finally ROI'd.       --scryptr

i ve tried to test expense too, as my 380's are unstable on etc & eth

but miner crash at start when it try on pool exp.suprnova.cc


but i don't understand why some miners crash on etc and others working fine

all 380 2 gigas gpu's

asus ring 5 gpu they working fine, + 1 solo xfx working fine too

but my xfx 6 gpu ring just get crazy at start or after few minutes on etc and some more on eth before it get errors
and the 5x sapphire can few minutes or couple of hours before get same errors

Can you post me the message how it is crashing ? Maybe it is using the wrong Stratum Variant ?

If you are using any other Version than genoil 1.1.0 you have to use "-SP 2" in the cmdline like so:

ethminer.exe -G -SP 2 -S exp.suprnova.cc:3333 -O myworker.1:x

has anyone any idea how to increase fan speed in the new GTX 1070 ?, i tried via nvidia-settings but it says: property is read only

I also couldn't find any way to do it with nvidia-smi interface

the card is unnecesarily hot, fans are at 20% and the card backplane is like 70 degrees insane!. (gigabyte G1)

so far i couldn't find any way to do that.

i can bug the card with an external PWM controller but i prefer to leave it original if possible so... if there is a software solution (on linux) would be awesome.
