sounds like a struggle. extending hosting month by month is not a solution.
Unfortunately looks like the end of BSD. without development and future plan, it is probably best to turn to other projects.

If you look at the graph for price of BSD, it looks like a pyramid. Flat, start to climb, peak in 2018, start the decline, flat.

It is lower now than it was before June 2015 !
