Srilanka and Afghanistan both team need to win this match if they want to stay in the tournament. At the moment Afghanistan is looking good. For England is a must win game otherwise they won't have a second chance. Newzealand can afford to lose this match but if they do then it will affect Australia. The toss will play the crucial role as both the teams will try to bat first.

Afghanistan could have put more pressure on Sirlankan batters in balling and took some more wickets but its a game . The best time won.

The T20 World Cup has ended for Afghanistan. Until Afghanistan finds a serious fast bowling combination, they will never compete at the highest level. This was very common before the Sourav Ganguly era. A lot of such petty politics was routed out when MSD became a captain.

Today's England vs New Zealand cricket match was played, New Zealand lost by 20 runs. So it's goodbye time for the Afghanistan team as they lost to Srilanka today. They batted first and scored only 144 runs. This was never going to be enough, and they were short of at least 20 runs. Also, this was an unlucky journey for the Afghanistan team in this world cup as their few matches were abandoned due to rain. Their last match will be against Australia, and they would be looking to upset the home team to finish off their journey in the world cup.

With today's win, Srilanka will play with England in their last game and even the win might not be enough for them to qualify for the semi finals.
