Are you comparing USSR dissolution time to covid-19 ? That's ridiculous. Covid -19 will not follow any timeline nor it will follow the 4 years patterns of bitcoin halving & bull run   
Covid-19 will only disappear once a proper vaccine is made for it and no one knows how much time it will take for the vaccine to be developed in laboratories.

Lockdown can't be extended again and again for an infinite period. In my country (India), a large part of the population are daily wagers and they'll starve to death of the lockdown is not lifted soon. The government may be able to feed them for 2-3 months, but not more (especially as the tax revenue has hit rock bottom). My guess is that the lockdown will be lifted on May 3rd (at least partially), irrespective of whether the situation comes under control or not.

So within 2-3 months, we may witness a limited resumption of the sports activities as well. It will become the new normal, as we can't shut down the economy indefinitely.

Yes, the economic condition in those areas may become worse with the passage of time if the lockdown sustains but you cannot lift the lockdown due to this and say you have no option. Because if the lockdown is lifted and suddenly there are a lot of patients detected of covid19, this could be a worse situation for any country.

Guys I was reading an article from Sachin on his birthday. He got some valid points. Cricket is not going to be the same after this pandemic crisis.
- Cricketers will not use their spit on the ball to keep the shine
- They will not celebrate the wicket taking with hug and other close body method.
- It will be hard for the cricketers to come back in their full shape because their body will deny the hard work. They will get used to this resting period. They will suffer from lack of fitness.

Good points highlighted by Sachin but I have a question will it still remain even after significant time has passed by after the pandemic crisis. I can see this happening for one year or two but I think things might get relaxed down and will we start having that same ol' celebrations at one point (not sooner but maybe later at some point).
