In the 5th match of the tri-series, the USA beats Canada by 20 runs. Batting first, the USA posted an above-average total of 168 runs thanks to Saiteja Mukkamalla's fifty. Other US batters chipped in and helped the team to set a good target. In response, Canada lost the track early in the inning and lost 3 wickets inside the powerplay. Dilpreet Bajwa played a good inning of 56 runs but after his departure, Canada lost the momentum and the remaining batters got out cheaply. The USA is currently at number 3 on the points table, if they win the game against the Netherlands by a big margin they will overtake the Netherlands on the points table, but it seems impossible.

In summary, for the USA team to overtake the Netherlands seems impossible for now. No doubt they won a good match today but that does not mean that they have the momentum to beat the Netherlands. Unlike Canada which stands no chance of finishing first, the USA team have an outside chance and if they are in the form tomorrow anything may happen.
