Yes basically that is the objective of the Indian Cricket Board. Most of the new players added to the Indian squad for the series against Zimbabwe were not from the T20 World Cup. Maybe they are being tested to see how they fit into their team. India recently won the T20 World Cup, yet they host a T20 series against Zimbabwe who failed to qualify for the World Cup. In the series against Zimbabwe, India fielded their second row team with all the inexperienced and new players.
After losing the first match against Zimbabwe, we thought maybe India made a mistake by sending this second tier team as they performed poorly in the first match. But then they put on an eye-catching performance to take their team to the brink of winning the series.
So after losing the first match, Indian team proved that they should not be taken lightly even if it is their B team. India are now in a lead of 2-1 in this T20 series and they may seal their series win today at Harare.
From Zimbabwe propestive it iis thier fileding that is letting them down. They dropped almost four catches in the 2nd T20 and around 3 catches in the 3rd T20. If those catches were held then the matches would have been much close.
captain Sikandar Raza frustrated. "It is the fielding again. We are very proud of our fielding but unfortunately the wheels have come off in the last two games," he said after the last T20I.

From India prospective, they may keep Ruturaj Gaikwad out of the game in today's match.
