Weekly earned merits (median) of top 100 merited users

The top 100 merited users in the analysis snapshotted at the 2019w36, according to the data update in [CLUBS] Top Merited-Users Classified into 4 Clubs, with weekly support to update from @LoyceV.

From that week, I traced back 13 weeks (from 2019w36 to 2019w23) to collect total earned merits and calculate earned merits between each two weeks.

Results for median of weekly earned merits

The top 100: 8 merits per week, with interquartile range is 3 to 18. It means if someone can manage to earn more than 7 merits per week, over months, they might move to the top months later.
The top 1-25: 13 merits per week, that is 30-percent higher than the the second group (top 26-50) at 9. The rest two groups (top 51-75, and top 76-100) have same median at 7. (see details below)
In median, top 26-100 merited users earn around 1 merit per day

Note:
- Figures here do not reflect exactly statistics on weekly earned merits of top 100 merited users, because I only traced back 13 recent weeks.
- I will expand the list to top 100, over all observed weeks in above thread, if forum users have interest with this thread. (Done)
- Weekly statistics are not exactly for each week in Calendar day (due to theymos data dump). See explanation here.
Ex: 2019w36 includes 5 days in 2019w36 and 2 days in 2019w37.
- I might trace back to more past weeks (around 3 months) when I have spare time

Median (interquartile range): 8 (3 - 18)

It was very interesting indeed.

Perhaps you should consider confining yourself to one stats analysis thread for meta? and then just update that will all your new vital analysis of merit?

What is the reason to start so many threads ALL analyzing the distribution of merit?

Have you consulted with loyceV about this? maybe you could collaborate on a merit distributional stats thread together?

Just a quick question on the weekly earned merits:

2019w36 is defined as the range 03sep2019 .. 09sep2019 (Tuesday to Monday) according to the "please see"link. m36 should be the total earned merits at the end of that period. Nevertheless, on the 09sep2019 I had 2.631, whilst my 2.645 merits indicated for m36 really correspond to those on the last merit.txt file (13sep2019).

Is there some mistake in the naming/chosen week days for each week, or am I missing something (the data seems correct if the weeks are Friday to Friday and not Tuesday to Monday)?

I used this to compare, where n (-3) is used to shift from one week to another, and the readings are correct for Friday to Friday readings (not the same as the Wxx weekday range):

ABSTRACT

Median of weekly earned merits for all 100 top merited profiles is 8. It means they usually earn around 1 merit per day.
Median of weekly earned merits for the group of 1-25 is significantly higher than the figures of last 3 groups: 26-50 (9), 51-75 (7), and 76-100 (7).
Min - max: 0 and 104, respectively.

Period: 2019w26 - 2019w37
Weekly earned merits: are not exacly weekly in Calendar day; and come from theymos' merit data dumps and LoyceV's data update. See
All users in the top 100: 8 merits per week, with interquartile range is 3 to 18. It means if someone can manage to earn more than 7 merits per week, over months, they might move to the top months later.

ABSTRACT

Median of weekly earned merits for all 100 top merited profiles is 8. It means they usually earn around 1 merit per day.
Median of weekly earned merits for the group of 1-25 is 13, that is significantly higher than the figures of last 3 groups: 26-50 (9), 51-75 (7), and 76-100 (7).
Min - max: 0 and 104, respectively.

Period: 2019w26 - 2019w38
Weekly earned merits: are not exacly weekly in Calendar day; and come from theymos' merit data dumps and LoyceV's data update. See
All users in the top 100: 8 merits per week, with interquartile range is 3 to 18. It means if someone can manage to earn more than 7 merits per week, over months, they might move to the top months later.

I would love to see what proportion of this merit was given out for discussing merit or participating in threads regarding other people's merit.

So far it seems like a good chunk of the merit is distributed to people providing analytics about merit, which doesn't sit right with me for some reason.

I don't see how it goes wrong like you said. Merits basically created to send to good posts. There are so many type of good posts, and statistical posts are just one type of posts. And if a statistical post is a decent one, informative enough, why it does not deserve merits.

ABSTRACT

Median (interquartile range) of weekly earned merits for all 100 top merited profiles is 8 (2 - 18). It means they usually earn around 1 merit per day.
Median (interquartile range) of weekly earned merits for the group of 1-25 is 12 (4 - 28), that is significantly higher than the figures of last 3 groups: 26-50 (9), 51-75 (7), and 76-100 (7).
Min - max: 0 and 113, respectively.
LoyceV has slowly moved to the top of 5, currently stays at the 2^nd position. It is not strange because LoyceV is the second merit receiver, just behind theymos.

Period: 2019w23 - 2019w40
Weekly earned merits: are not exacly weekly in Calendar day; and come from theymos' merit data dumps and LoyceV's data update. See
All users in the top 100: 8 merits per week, with interquartile range is 2 to 18. It means if someone can manage to earn more than 7 merits per week, over months, they might move to the top months later.

Update:

ABSTRACT

Median (interquartile range) of weekly earned merits for all 100 top merited profiles is 8 (2 - 18). It means they usually earn around 1 merit per day.
Median (interquartile range) of weekly earned merits for the group of 1-25 is 13 (4 - 28), that is significantly higher than the figures of last 3 groups: 26-50 (9), 51-75 (7), and 76-100 (7).
Min - max: 0 and 113, respectively.
LoyceV has slowly moved to the top, currently stays at the 1^st position, that also currently holds by @o_e_l_e_o. It is not strange because LoyceV is the second merit receiver, just behind theymos.

Period: 2019w23 - 2019w41
Weekly earned merits: are not exacly weekly in Calendar day; and come from theymos' merit data dumps and LoyceV's data update. See
All users in the top 100: 8 merits per week, with interquartile range is 2 to 18. It means if someone can manage to earn more than 7 merits per week, over months, they might move to the top months later.
The top 1-25: 13 merits per week, that is 44-percent higher than the the second group (top 26-50) at 9. The rest two groups (top 51-75, and top 76-100) have same median at 7. (see details below)

ABSTRACT

Median (interquartile range) of weekly earned merits for all 100 top merited profiles is 8 (2 - 18). It means they usually earn around 1 merit per day.
Median (interquartile range) of weekly earned merits for the group of 1-25 is 12 (4 - 28), that is significantly higher than the figures of last 3 groups: 26-50 ( 8 ), 51-75 (7), and 76-100 (7).
Min - max: 0 and 129, respectively.
LoyceV has solidly stood at the first position, currently stays at the 1^st position. It is not strange because LoyceV is the second merit receiver, just behind theymos.

Period: 2019w23 - 2019w42
Weekly earned merits: are not exacly weekly in Calendar day; and come from theymos' merit data dumps and LoyceV's data update. See
All users in the top 100: 8 merits per week, with interquartile range is 2 to 18. It means if someone can manage to earn more than 7 merits per week, over months, they might move to the top months later.

Median (interquartile range) of weekly earned merits for all 100 top merited profiles is 8 (2 - 17). It means they usually earn around 1 merit per day.
Median (interquartile range) of weekly earned merits for the group of 1-25 is 12 (4 - 26), that is significantly higher than the figures of last 3 groups: 26-50 ( 8 ), 51-75 (7), and 76-100 (7).
Min - max: 0 and 129, respectively.

Period: 2019w23 - 2019w44
Weekly earned merits: are not exacly weekly in Calendar day; and come from theymos' merit data dumps and LoyceV's data update. See

ABSTRACT

Observed weeks: 22
Median (interquartile range) of weekly earned merits for all 100 top merited profiles is 8 (2 - 17). It means they usually earn around 1 merit per day.
Median (interquartile range) of weekly earned merits for the group of 1-25 is 12 (4 - 26), that is significantly higher than the figures of last 3 groups: 26-50 ( 8 ), 51-75 (7), and 76-100 (7).
Min - max: 0 and 129, respectively.

Period: 2019w23 - 2019w45
Weekly earned merits: are not exacly weekly in Calendar day; and come from theymos' merit data dumps and LoyceV's data update. See
All users in the top 100: 8 merits per week, with interquartile range is 2 to 17. It means if someone can manage to earn more than 7 merits per week, over months, they might move to the top months later.
The top 1-25: 12 merits per week, that is 50-percent higher than the the second group (top 26-50) at 8. The rest two groups (top 51-75, and top 76-100) have same median at 7. (see details below)
