Here’s why Trump wants to make Ukraine a US economic colony. Kyiv holds $15 trillion in natural resources which would help break the US’s dependence on China. Donald Trump made no effort to disguise the potential threat to Ukraine if Volodymyr Zelensky, the country’s president, refused to cough up for American protection. “They may make a deal. They may not make a deal,” the US president told Fox News. “They may be Russian someday, or they may not be Russian someday.”
    ...
His price? As The Telegraph revealed this week, it is an incredibly steep one. The US has demanded what amounts to an economic colonisation of Ukraine, with significant rights over its mineral resources, oil and gas resources, ports and other infrastructure.

The demands have caused panic in Kyiv and amount to far more than what officials are willing to agree to.
    ...
According to a copy of the US demands revealed by The Telegraph on Monday, Washington is demanding that it gets first refusal on all deposits within the country.
    ...
“He is making a petty criminal’s play, like coming into a shop and saying: Nice little business you’ve got here, it would be a shame if something happened to it.

“It is an administration which is behaving like an organised crime syndicate.”

I wonder if UA population still believes that Miadan was worth it and that they'll still be so much better off than how they were in 2013  Huh Because who wouldn't want to become a US economic colony  Roll Eyes

    Edit:

Ukranian constitution does not allow elections in time of war.

Ukrainian constitution does not allow PARLIAMENTARY elections.
    Presidential elections can be held

    ...

    This is what i found:

    Article 83
Regular sessions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine commence on the first
Tuesday of February and on the first Tuesday of September each year.

Special sessions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, with the stipulation of their
agenda, are convoked by the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, on
the demand of the President of Ukraine or on the demand of no fewer People's
Deputies of Ukraine than one-third of the constitutional composition of the
    Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

In the event that the President of Ukraine declares, by proclaiming a decree, a
state of martial law or of emergency upon the whole territory of Ukraine in some
areas of the State, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine shall assemble within two days
    without convocation.

In the event that the term of authority of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expires
while a state of martial law or of emergency is in effect, its powers are extended
until the day when the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine elected after the cancellation of
the state of martial law or of emergency convenes its first meeting of the first
    session.

Rules on the conduct of work of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine shall be laid
down in the Constitution of Ukraine and the Rules of Procedure of the Verkhovna
    Rada of Ukraine.

According to election results and on the basis of a common ground achieved
between various political positions, a coalition of parliamentary factions shall be
formed in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to include a majority of People's
Deputies of Ukraine of the constitutional composition of the Verkhovna Rada of
    Ukraine.

A coalition of parliamentary factions in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine shall be
formed within one month from the date of the first meeting of the Verkhovna
Rada of Ukraine to be held following regular or special elections to the Verkhovna
Rada of Ukraine, or within one month from the date when activities of a
coalition of parliamentary factions in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine were
    terminated.

A coalition of parliamentary factions in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine submits to
the President of Ukraine, in accordance with this Constitution, proposals
concerning a candidature for the office of the Prime Minister of Ukraine and also,
in accordance with this Constitution, submits proposals concerning candidatures
for the membership of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Framework for forming, organising, and terminating activities of a coalition of
parliamentary factions in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine shall be established by
the Constitution of Ukraine and the Rules of Procedure of the Verkhovna Rada of
    Ukraine.

A parliamentary faction in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine which members make
up a majority of People's Deputies of Ukraine of the constitutional composition of
the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine shall enjoy the same rights under this Constitution
as a coalition of parliamentary factions in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The constitution is pretty clear on this isn't it? Unless there's another article that specifically addresses expiration of presidential powers during martial law that i missed, claiming that Ukranian constitution does not allow presidential elections in time of war is a straight up propaganda and a blatant lie made to mislead the masses.
