Investment contains risk but if people have proper management, and understand about the market well, they will reduce a lot of probability of selling bitcoin with loss, because if they can hold it longer, they will have profit. If they can avoid forced selling situations, they will not have loss.

It depends on each person time budget too, like philipma said some times that he is old, has limited times and he does not have too far plans for his Bitcoin portfolio than the younger people. Philipma makes a lot of posts so it's hard to find that post of him. The young, middle-aged and the old people have very different investment plans, the young can take more risk as they have a lot of time and chances to correct mistakes with second or further chances in the future. They can hold bitcoin longer than the elderly too because they elderly must think about their life quality in next years like one by one, not too far.

Their thinking is useless if they did not have good financial, risk and capital management previously. Lack of proper financial, investment capital and risk management, they will have to fall into forced sell situations even they don't want to do that.

Think it is like if your pocket is empty, your bank account is empty, and what you have is only bitcoin, surely you will have to sell your coins even with negative ROI.

Selling right now may not be the smartest move, especially for those who are already sitting on losses. However, not every investor bought at a high price or above the current price.

Many long term holder who bought Bitcoin years ago are still sitting on massive profit, selling is not necessarily a foolish decision.

My suggestion you could lock this thread and join the people there to discuss this.

I think everyone has their own objectives for investing in Bitcoin and as long as it is profitable, investors will hold on to it. If you hold this BTC for the long term instead of the short term, then there is a possibility of getting a higher return, but if someone loses access to the wallet or falls into the trap of fraudsters and hackers and loses the Bitcoin, it may not be possible to make a profit.

So we should understand that in addition to investing in Bitcoin, we need to ensure the security of the wallet and then invest patiently with a long-term mindset, which will help bring a significant amount of BTC to the portfolio of every investor, so the more Bitcoin is stored in the wallet, the more profit there will be.

Different backgrounds lead to different decisions, I believe that everyone here believes BTC is better than any investment currently available. Very true individual differences play's a major role to how much per times someone can afford to put down as much as possible at a go, while the other factor is the amount of cash flow in the said individual possessions.

I did not sell my Bitcoin when the price of Bitcoin was at its highest level and now Bitcoin has come down a lot so how do I imagine selling Bitcoin now I will not sell my Bitcoin I am thinking of buying more Bitcoin and investing in this bad market situation and I am constantly doing DCA. What I understand is that buying and selling is ultimately a personal choice. The people who are holding ultimately having a goal in their mind what to do with their coins. Majority of people are here to make money and you can understand that their personal choices will not get written here unless they want to.

You have to assume that people are going to sell when they profit, a reasonable way to approach this is that you sell coins when the market is going to the next all-time-high and buy back when the bear market hits. Just dont do the opposite which panicked traders often do and end up losing money.

Profits are there in future, but for short term gains you can and should sell. Have goals about how you want to multiply your money and play it accordingly. Have enough fiat and crypto capital at hand always to face bear and bull respectively.

Unfortunately, no one can guarantee or provide a warranty for future profits. It's all just a series of predictions that might not turn out to be true in the end. But if it does happen, I would try not to sell it, unless I really need the money. So in the end, whether the money from selling would be more useful to me compared to holding Bitcoin will be the basis for me to hold or sell. It might be different for people who have a lot of money and invest for the long term; I think they would tend to hold longer. Personal decision differs based on the current dilemma that we're facing. If it reaches to $200k up to $1M. It's impossible that there won't be sellers whether it's with the little they own or they'd do it to sell everything that they own. We can't tell what can be the situation we'll face in the future. Very easy to say that our stance is to hold for a long term but there's an end to that long term. It will come, it might not be a couple of years or so but someday you'll just click on that and will take your deserving profits.
