I do not think that Nets have any chance left after the trade, it makes no sense for them to expect anything for the time being. Not because their roster is horrible or anything, or on paper the trade was bad, they were not good before the trade neither but with the trade they became even worse. Why? Because, they have Kyrie Irving who needs vaccinate to play at Nets, so he plays in only the games that are in cities that allow unvaccinated people to play.

And it is obvious that we are talking about a situation where they are actually not doing all that well right now without him. Even if Simmons and KD comes back and they are both great, in a case of playoffs, Kyrie will not be able to actually play in Nets home games.

He needs to deal with his shooting stroke he still young and improving his outside shots is not hard if he will

just focus on it, FT. Just like what you just said, it's still part of some strategy coming from the coaches to foul anyone who doesn't have
that good FT percentages.

Better to keep improving while waiting for his come back inside the floor, Simmon needs to bring everything after his request to be

Suspended ain't the right term because Simmons have just traded to the Nets recently, for now he still can't play against the Celtics as he's still on the ramp-up process so that he can make his debut sooner. But I've read that he is set to make his debut on March 10, and guess what team they're scheduled to face, well it's his former team, the 76ers. This sure is will be an interesting game because by that time, Harden is also expected to play.
While Durant won't be available for the time being and still in question about the date where he can play again.

Pretty disappointing to read Simmons won’t be in the lineup tonight. The guy has been off for how long now? Pretty unprofessional of him to not be ready to go. I guess that’s no surprise considering what he’s been up to so far this season. I hope we don’t have a Zion situation on our hands. As of now, the Brooklyn Nets are struggling against the Boston Celtics who pushed furthermore to secure their playoff spot. The Nets needed badly this win but what they can do against the rising Celtics which gonna be a torn for the Eastern Conference teams because of their late improvement. If they can somehow stop the Bucks in the Playoff, we will see them in the NBA finals.
