I guess if there is no taker for him then no trade offers will be made, the Clippers has no choice but to take care of him until the end of his contract. But I would agree with the comparison on Shaq, that is the version of Shaq in the Orlando Magic uniform. But he could not be a powerful as the Shaq in the Lakers. It was a different specimen back then, as no one can stop Shaq because he was complete, with speed and the power that no one can take him one on one. As for Davis, this added muscle might help him to at least stay strong and not be as fragile as before.

Maybe, we really don't know what Nico Harrison was thinking when he traded Luka. Maybe he had a lot leverage now having AD and there could be teams that is willing to go after him as AD is still one of the best PF and defensive players around.

Davis might perform more better next season. So let see if Davis would really be more healthier and could last for many games this season.

It could, regular system is 82 games and there are days that you have to play back to back games. So in the long run, that added weight might be a big issue for him as he is not used to having that kind of weight to carry.

So still 50/50 for me, we don't know if that will be good for him in the long run as he is injury prone already. Maybe the banging that he will get, but just imagine on how his injury was before, from jumping and landing awkwardly. So with that weight, maybe just one bad landing will twist his knees or ankle for a season injury.

Anthony Davis gaining  extra 15 pounds is huge news for Lakers this season because in today fast NBA that weight makes him stand out as one of strongest players. This added size will let him dominate under basket against smaller players and it may also help him handle rough play of long season possibly making him more durable. Main question is if he can stay quick while being heavier. If he does he will be unstoppable offensive force who will likely see big jump in his scoring and rebounding numbers.
