It seems Decred doing great on technical aspect of the project but lacking some proper care in terms of PR and marketing strategy compared to other top cryptocurrencies.

good point mate needed some more advertisement to gather more attention. hope dev will make some noise with social media by means of twitter and fb.

0.5.0 Release Scheduled For Monday Oct 9 2016

The 0.5.0 release has major performance enhancements. This is great however, this is going to be a flag-day release. We ditched the old database format and replaced it with a harder/better/faster/stronger one meaning people will have to do an IBD. Good news is that we think this will be the last flag day before we hit 1.0.

We do encourage everyone to update immediately once 0.5.0 drops so that we can get a lot of community runtime.
