Right now yea definitely. Bitcoin is the dream medium for illegal transactions, it's unregulated and anonymous plus you can send any amount of money to anyone anywhere in the world at no cost. I believe criminal activities account for a nice portion of daily Bitcoin movement.

I do not understand why those guys do not use the Monero. That is a true anonymous coin. Bitcoin is just pseudo anonymous.

With Monero they might not be able to move as much money without destabilizing the market. Monero daily volume has ranged between $30,000 to $500,000 so far in 2016. And it has never reached above $1,000,000. Plus Bitcoin is anonymous enough right now since ID verification is not required. You can track the movement of coins but you can't really tie them to an individual or group.

The Monero movement cannot be tracked, where the bitcoin can be. So for the privacy concerned people, they should use Monero.
