if they truly have been working on it since 2010 i doubt they did so without any funding. it could even be a personal project or between friends.

You're right, your first valid point, they have to have had funding for four years for multiple employees, some that are currently living in China, yet have mentioned no prior investment and such generous parties are not interested in using this revolutionary tech for themselves.  These eccentric investors, and friends, just buck the trend, encourage operating on a loss, and living on air the entire time, up until which point they want so desperately to recoup funding in merely a few weeks....ohh wait didn't they say they wanted to do a limited run of 1,000 to see what the uptake was? So, they've slaved away for four years, hidden whilst Lebanon clashes with Israel, an Arab spring and the Syria conflict spills over with their groundbreaking foresight to predict the ASIC revolution on an off chance peeps may share an interest in years to come prior to any realistic uptake or confidence in this emerging cryptocurrency!!?

You are a prize ****ing idiot. Complain to a mod if you like, I want to see one defend you and this utter bollocks!

whats wrong with having remote employees
their plan is not only to sell for a few weeks
i said that was my interpretation about them saying that all pre-orders will be sold whether it was as a pre-order or purchase after manufacture.
anyone looking at the computation problem regarding bitcoin knew the potential of each existing technology.

anyway, all the hostility and cursing and name calling doesn't do shiart

    here is more from them:
    Quote
    Dear customer,
we will try to answer the questions as accurate
    as currently possible:

    > We are curious as to who are the people behind CedarTec, not in name
    > but in personality, story's and philosophy.

-the most of our employees are younger, also we have some students,
    which are
(mostly) studying electrical engineering and computer sciences.
The age from our employees reaches from 24 to 40 years.

    > What kind of enterprise is this, profit driven, fun driven or purpose
    > driven?

-First we have started as a group of friends, build some
fpgas and started mining ourselfs. We also gived some fpgas to
friends to bring them closer to bitcoins and the potential.
After some months we saw that the bitcoins gained more influence
and were represented with increased regularity by the media
    in tv and computer magazines.
We have started to hire some students for a practicum at our
little group, at this time it was not seen as a company by us.
We have looked more into the future of bitcoins and started to
develope fpgas, which we canceled, we were to late, the market
was further on then we were. This was the step were we started
to develope an asic, it took a long time until we got
something worked, because there was a lack of money.
So we did everything in little steps.
Now we are more people who are working hard to finish the last
    steps of our project.
You can say it is fun driven, purpose driven and profit driven
    at the same time.

    > How did it come to be and what are the circumstances that led to
    > making it about bitcoin mining?

-see above and also we want to be a part of the bitcoin history.
We would like to bring bitcoins to more people to increase the
    community.

    > Talk about the development struggles along the past 2 years.

    - we can make a summary in next days.

    > Is CedarTec here for the long run?

-We will look further if we have shipped
all pre-orders. Minimum is the 2 years
warranty on our first official product.

    > You do understand the stress and debate going around whether or not
    > to trust your company, how are you thinking about this in terms of
    > managing your company's public image?

-I, personally, can not tell you anything about this.
We have got instructions from our employer and have to follow
these. If it is good for the company images or not is not
in my hands. I can only publish informations and allow
actions which I personally am allowed to.

    > Btw, what is your position?

-As I said before, it is not in my hand.
I understand the position of everyone
and it is not easy to trust a company which is
about 1 month online. But we try our best to strengthen
    the trust in our company.

    With best regards,

    Your CedarTec Team.
