I don't think there is anything on a market that can beat Ethereum, I would not even compare the two.
EThereum has many unique features and has its own niche, plus there are much more projects that are based off Ethereum

ETH is much bigger and more establihsed than Waves. I can't really comment on the technical differences of the two, because I am not a technical person.

Waves has more space to rise in price, but might not rise. ETH has more room to fall, but is also down 33% in the last few weeks, so could regain that. Basically you have to do you own research and decide which is better. Even if you decide correctly, the market is often irrational, so you might lose money on a good investment.

One aspect to think about is with WAVES built in exchanges, it may be used as altcoin trade standard in the coming weeks as people are advised to take Bitcoin off of exchanges. There is a very real possibility that BTC/altcoin volume plummets, and in its place, things like WAVES will be leading the crypto exchanges.

I think both are good projects with different main objectives. Ethereum with their smart contracts and a network with so many giant projects inside. Waves have its own network too but with still growing project. I like Waves because it is a decentralized trading platform and I believe this is going to be big soon. Few months ago I picked Waves as an investment because of its bigger room to grow. So far I have it 500% already.
