The beta of the new dex is soon to be tested. It looks great. Smart contracts and sidechains are coming too. Waves is going to be great.2018 will rock.

Indeed time can judge about it. We cannot say for now that Waves can beat Ethereum any time. Any cryptocurrencies have it's own time to shine and show their strengths. But certainly, I can think that if ETH will not continue its rise and it's way to make the people who believe in it increase, the possibility of it Wave or any other alternative coins can beat ethereum.

Although both projects are decent enough to survive for years, there has to be a victor among the two. I choose Bitcoin because more people know about it.

I expect Waves to rise soon specially with new updates that announced Sasha. But i don't think it can beat Ethereum in any case in the near future.

Ethereum has been always second in rank with Bitcoin, hence loads of tokens are "Ethereum based platform". Waves has a lot of room to grow and before you know it, it may scatter like a wildfire!
