As I see waves have no capacity to surpass ethereum in the market for now, however we can't says what happen in the future. But in my sight ethereum now are still complacent to their position even they surpass lastly by the bitcoin cash. In addition it's a long journey to waves before achieve the position of ethereum.

I wouldn't say so, Ethereum is one of the most promising cryptocurrencies, comparing to Waves it is more stable, ETH has more peculiar features and, as far as I know smart contracts aren't implemented into Waves.

It  can be; however, waves has a long way to go to match ethereum. You can say that Eth is the second best crypto, second only to bitcoin. Although its price point may play at different ranges, it has proven itself in the market, and many investors and altcoin players alike trust its potential and its value as a cryptocurrency. But then again, every crypto would have their day and chance to be recognized given that the trend would favor them and people would actually use them.

ETH is a very stabil coin. For the long term investment, it provides less risk of winning losing compared to Waves. But I think investing Waves is a better choice right now, it has a big potential and we will see how Waves price will go up together.

furthermore ethereum is no coin, you are just gambling on the peoples dependency to need waves when they do transactions but i have made a digital asset that is multiplattform based, to fight this speculants problem that, drive the transaction cost.
