Right! Merit system has brought good things to the forum and forum users.

Wrong! Honestly, I don't think that merit system can completely prevent or eliminate spamming endemic in the forum. It is just be able to change some spammers to contrucstive users over time, just part of spammers will change, not all.

Do you even read the nonsense you're writing?

Are you one of the ones who's wondering why you're not receiving merits?

Keep writing dipshit posts, and you'll never earn merit or rank up.  This post is as big of a bloated mess of jumbled crap as I've ever had the displeasure of reading on bitcointalk.  English is not your strong suit, so you might want to just post in the local section and hope there's a merit source there to give you points--IF you actually write better in your native language.

Friends, I just can not understand why the members have so little sendable merit (sMerit)?
If the  Merit system is created in order to increase the number of constructive and quality posts,
why can not the participants evaluate these posts?
Because they have little sMerit. This is a problem and it must be solved!

I suggest increasing the number of sMerit!

Rank	Sendable merit (sMerit)
Brand new	0
Newbie	5 (they too should be able to assess posts)
Jr Member	10
Member	25
Full Member	50-100
Sr. Member	200
Hero Member	400
Legendary	800-1000

And every month the number of sMerit should be renewed.
For example: the Member had 25 sMerit, he sent everything, and at the beginning of the month he will again have 25 sMerit.

P.S. Sorry for my English.

That's right mate, why all of you guys worried the merit? Are you all hurrying to rank up?
Well, the answer is like this. Just try to post or reply to the genuine thread that makes sure that have sense in the forum and forget the about the merit. Then who know someone like your post and give their smerit to your post.

That is impossible to happen that to lowered merit requirements, if i were the shoe of sir theymos those newbies account i give them 6months and 20 merit required before they rank up. They need first to explor the forum not to stick on megathread.

By contributing something to the forum doesn't give you merit. A Jr. Member (like me) cannot get easily merit. so, I feel desperate for my next position.

the post was meant to be nonsensical to illustrate a nonsensical aspect of the merit system...that being, creating a centralized power (on a board focused on decentralization) that will in turn decide who gets to join the centralized power...I realize that something must be done to combat all of the sock puppets and bots...I have personally reported dozens of them and nothing has been done to them...and, no, I don't know a better way...simply pointing out something that no one else did...and i didn't realize that I would have to explain every iota of my post...sorry...

I didn't realize that simply disagreeing with everyone would be construed as not contributing....so, if I just change my stance and agree with everyone, and not point out an obvious flaw that I have noticed, I can expect to receive merit?...sounds good....thanx....fella...btw, for those a bit too slow to notice, this was sarcasm...

so, now you've gone and done it....im thinking too much again...people want to discredit my posts because I don't seem to want to pray at the alter of merit....so look at this guy "sncc"....and, I don't mean to be calling you out dude, its just a perfect example of what im talking about....here is someone whos account is not even 100 days old...has activity of 112....and merit of 104.....and most of those merit points came from commenting about.....you guessed it....the merit system!!...in the end, it is simply a popularity contest with the ones who blow the most smoke up the asses of the higher-ups getting the points

seriously??....you honestly think that I sought out the thread about the merit system to shitpost and meet some minimum requirement for my signature?? (which, had you done any research you would know pays exactly zero)...the one place that I am SURE to get called out for shitposting is right here...I am not here to make money...im not here to make friends...im here to learn, and if I can, to help...hopefully, the learning will earn me some money in the market...I stand by my opinion of the merit system...I am not saying it is a horrendous system, but jesus christ, the way that the merit gets thrown around on threads about the merit system, its just begging to be noticed (and laughed at)...and I will continue to post my opinions about how I see things regardless of whether or not it costs me merit...and thereby, advancement...and btw, if you take your merit and twist it up really small, it wont hurt so much when you shove it up your ass....I didn't want to eat at your lunch table anyway

edit:  and I would like to know your opinion of the point I mentioned above about the guy w/ a 95 day old account w/ merit of 104...mostly for posting about the merit system over the course of 60 days...which is 1.73 merit points per day...thanks

sorry, I cant help myself...this stuff is just dying to be mocked...look at the merit given out to the OP, for creating a thread about merit...any new tech here??...anything that will advance the world of crypto??...perhaps a new economic philosophy that will change everything??....nope, just simply announcing a new hierarchical system....turned into an opportunity to create an echo chamber of the same idea, where the uber accounts can take turns patting each other on the back, shifting merit back and forth and throwing the occasional  bone to some noob that's willing to kiss the ring....honestly, 50 merit points for simply announcing the new merit system??...from 6 different accounts??...what a friggin hilarious puke-fest
