Same for me,but i realized that bitcointalk is not a competition for merit, for me as long as you helped other people for their queries is good enough, but im still hoping someday and i would be greatful if someone give merit to me.please keep in mind that you're here to help and to learn, and if they give you merit it means you done something good, like this thread very helpful, thank you.

I agree, the definition of a forum is a place where people meet to leave messages, discuss subjects of the same interest and help others with questions. Keep that in mind when you post in a forum, and try to ignore additional issues like merit and ranking up etc. Remember all good things come to those who make them happen.

With regards

It allready opens in new window..

"If you want to be a merit source:

 1. Be a somewhat established member.
 2. Collect TEN posts written in the last couple of months by other people that have not received nearly enough merit for how good they are, and post quotes for them all in a new Meta thread. The point of this is to demonstrate your ability to give out merit usefully.
 3. We will take a look at your history and maybe make you a source.

I am especially eager to have merit sources in sub-communities such as the local sections."

I just want to ask a clarification regarding the mechanics above.  Do I need to make a new thread/topic quoting the ten (10) posts or there is already an existing thread to quote this ten (10) posts?

Simply, he probably has several accounts and confused, he thought that he wrote from the account where there is Merit.

Thank you for this.  I am just inquiring for future reference, thank you for the heads up though.

Updated this graph thanks to new data from DdmrDdmr.
The legendary rank is influenced for a good 80%+ from sources for a perfect graph we need to remove sources from data.

(Also I skipped donator, vip, founder, moderator and brand new rank, because I don't think than 0.0001% of population of the forum matters on this graph on the contrary, it only makes confusion).

What are u doing?
The topic is not for Bitcoin discussion, speculations, or something like that.
This one is only for discussions on merit system and new rank requirements.
