I am a Darkcoin supporter, never hid that, but I don't think that discredits my logic. I have respect for both Monero and Boolberry but I honestly think they are at an earlier stage of development, for all the reasons discussed and as a business I wouldn't add them just yet. The type of attacks that still happen in Cryptonote, threaten the coin itself, in the case of Darkcoin if an attack affects its added value features you go back to having Bitcoin's well tested security so the integrity of the coin is preserved. I will continue to monitor Monero's progress and wish the best to the project but I think there will still be plenty of opportunity to invest in that technology as it matures. From a business perspective is just about timing and risk management any business person could see this so my allegiance to Darkcoin is irrelevant.
Honestly a fair amount of Darkcoin's code (i.e. the anonymity part) is just as new as Cryptonote if not newer, which is why bugs have shown up in both. "Bitcoin's well tested security" is a nonsense argument. Once you start changing code you can easily introduce bugs. If you want Bitcoin's well tested security, use Bitcoin.
If you are going to base it on maturity alone then neither would be considered.
